I stayed at this hotel in Colombo for 3 days after finding it online with seemingly good reviews, but my actual experience was quite the opposite.||Check-In Experience:|Check-in was handled manually, including handwritten registration and paper bills, which felt outdated but manageable.||Room & Noise Issues:|Once I entered the room, it was just okay. Unfortunately, there was ongoing construction work on the upper floors—constant drilling and breaking sounds that gave us headaches. I requested a room change to avoid the noise, and although they initially said the new room would cost extra, they later offered it at the same rate. Still, the noise continued until 5 PM every day, which made it impossible to relax.||Cleanliness & Facilities:|The room had an unpleasant smell, and the corridor wasn’t any better. The bathroom was in poor condition with stained tiles and general dirt. Basic amenities were missing—no toilet paper, no bottled water, and only one towel provided in a double room. For the rate charged, this is unacceptable.||Service & Management:|While the staff seemed to be working, there was no sign of proper management. The property appears to be privately run with minimal oversight. It seemed they mostly rely on regular guests who don’t mind the lack of quality.||During our stay, someone knocked on our door and randomly asked when we would check out—without knowing our room number or name. This felt unprofessional and intrusive. Staff on the floor often engaged in loud conversations, creating even more noise and disturbance for guests.||Unfair Charges:|The hotel charges Rs. 6,500 for a 24-hour stay starting from check-in time. On the final day, I requested an extra 7 hours to wait for my next destination and was shocked to be charged Rs. 5,500. How does 7 hours cost almost the same as 24? It felt like they were just focused on extracting money rather than providing service.||Overall Verdict:|This stay was disappointing from start to finish. Poor hygiene, noise, lack of basic facilities, and money-minded service made it an unpleasant experience. I won’t be returning and wouldn’t recommend this...

I have been here for long vacation and untlimately ends up being in thia hotel longterm. This is hotel has no customer service, bizzar laguage been used by the receptionist cum cahsire. Managemt dont care about the customers, they all belive what the reseptionests says. No water, literally there is no water . Specifically towerds in the evening No hot water at all. If you need to have a wash you must call the receptionist and inform . The evilish receptionist name call Janani calls you at 7.30 am and if there is adelay then thats theend of the story. They charge big but not nevern giving daily complimentry water bottles even.||||If you stay for one night and the bed.linon is good then they will flip the covers upside and down and prepare fro the next customer airrivals.||||Complimentry towels offerd to customer is beenused to wipe the toilet .customer used towels been used to cleen toilet.floors after wasing the lavatory .||||No room.service for two days . As per hotel policy they dont change or clen the rooms for days if customer staying.||||Broken toilet equipments. Most of the rooms in the hotel has cheap hotel itmes such as ,beds and stiff sprin metress ,toilet equipments and ect .is not upto a standerd . Dingy elivator workes sometime and sometine its dont . Per room.one bedsheet and two soft pillows have been given even if there is two custowes stay at room.||||Overall this place is a horrifying experiance for me .though you have paid money, this is a place you cant expect customer service , they priorities money on the meantime customer is been treated very very bad . Starting from managemnt to ground level staffs .||||Last but not least price point they selling such a low scaled hotel really high. hence i would like to request tripasvosor to re evaluate the...

It's the first Agoda booking and first stay at this hotel. The location was not easy to find and it's the middle of some shops and a bit scared to go with family. As I'm a Sinhalese, there wasn't any sinhala person, everyone's Muslim. But they do understand Sinhala. The place seems to be repairing behind, there wasn't a spacious parking area, maximum two cars could park there at their own location. There are around 8 floors. Lift is available. Inside the room there was TV, Hot and Cool Shower, Cupboard, safe locker with spacious bed and table with chair also an AC unit. Staff is pleasant and helpful. Am 100% not sure about the bed accessories cleanness, and badly there wasn't any soap, driking water or towels luckily I took myself. They do not provide any food by their own, but possible to get from nearby. I went out myself and found a Sinhalese Shop opposite to the hotel, and their prices are very affordable and tastly foods are there. Forgot to say, the Lotus Tower clearly visible to the Hotel. No mosquitos to disturb nights. I feels the place is safe, not sure about the outside! Better not to go outside at nights for walking. Hope hotel will improve after repairs done, also better to fix stair access door closing which makes lot of sound and it's disturbing. Overall, I'm happy with our stay at Metro...

Rooms are filthy! Don’t think they even cleaned them before we came. Walking barefoot in the room is disgusting. Very bad location nothing near here and you have to get pretty far to grab a bite. Room has an AC that works pretty badly during daytime. Had dead ants in our blanket!! staff were helpful though when we asked for a new blanket. Pretty expensive and not good value for money in my opinion.

The second star is only because of the golden fish at the reception. Our room wasn’t clean at all, the bed sheets smelled weird and the floor was wet. It was a very rainy night and we got a top floor room, which was great until we figured that there is a crack on the ceiling and it is literally raining inside the room. The mosque will wake you up in the middle of the nigh.

The rooms are really spacious and clean. AC worked well. We stayed at the 5th floor were we had a beautiful view. The major downside of this hotel is the water pressure. The shower had the tiniest drizzle of water, which made it almost impossible to take a shower. The area where this hotel is located is really vibrant and certainly not touristy.
