Oh wow, what a gorgeous old house! And an amazing location, just a skip and jump from Flag Rock. This was once a boutique stay managed by the Jetwing group, so it is restored to a very high standard. The rooms upstairs are enormous with a gorgeous terrace overlooking a courtyard below. Because the new managers are not providing any catering, the lovely communal areas (sitting and dining) are not really used, which is a shame. There is also an amazing kitchen that can be shared! But of all the places we visited, Galle has the MOST restaurants, so we didn't really use it, except for the fridge. It would be an amazing stay for a large group, when the communal areas could be taken advantage of.||Good points: A real treat to stay in such an amazing building, and decent value for the quality of accommodation.|Bad points: The upstairs rooms are best. But I could not work out from their photos/description which were the upstairs rooms. When we arrived they told me I had booked a downstairs room, but fortunately were able to upgrade us. Read moreAmazing stay! The house is bright and beautifully designed. It is literally a stone's throw away from the rampart of Galle Fort. ||The staff is very helpful and caring. A large open kitchen with all the basic equipment for cooking makes it quite like being at home. The bedrooms are very comfy and so is the toilet. This place is barely 100 meters from the main market street on one side. ||There is a washing machine which may be used and microwave oven, gas stove, a refrigerator etc make sure that you are comfortable. I would say its a great place to stay for even one night or even for an extended weeklong stay.||The manager, Mr Azwaan is very considerate and supportive. During my stay one person in our group had taken ill and needed to be hospitalised. We had to extend our stay suddenly for one night and then again for one more night. But instead of asking us to vacate, Mr Azwaan spoke to the guests who had booked and adjusted them elsewhere. He stayed there the whole night to give us support and let us leave at our...

We were greeted by a very friendly & attentive young man...from there it went down hill.||Room 3 was very dark & smelt musty. the air conditioner struggled which later broke down. ||Next day we moved to room 4 upstairs. Brighter but again air conditioner struggled.||Both rooms needed a deep clean, especially the shower & bathroom areas. All mouldy walls need cleaning & repainting.||For villas that are not heavily booked, Jetwings should invest time to give a super clean & repair the airconditioners.||||Apart from the very attentive young man, the other non-advertised bonus was finding out you can go to Jetwings Lighthouse pool & amenities. ||||We would not stay at the Villas again....
