Delightful Ice Cream Spot with Unique Flavors, Cozy Vibe, and Friendly Staff I absolutely love the Isle of Gelato, an ice cream place located inside the Galle Fort. Although it's a small place, the arrangements inside are charming with a balcony, swings, and outdoor seating options. The vibe is cozy and inviting, making it a perfect spot to indulge in some delicious ice cream. The ice creams at Isle of Gelato are incredibly smooth and come in a wide range of flavors, including options for vegans. Personally, I highly recommend the Passion fruit flavor - it's divine! One of the best parts is that you can sample the flavors before making a purchase, ensuring you find the perfect one for your taste buds. The staff at Isle of Gelato are friendly and provide excellent service. They are knowledgeable about the flavors and are happy to assist in making recommendations. Additionally, the convenience of card payment options adds to the overall ease of the experience. While there may not be parking available on-site, it's easy to find nearby parking options. Don't let that deter you from visiting this delightful ice cream spot. Isle of Gelato is a must-visit for ice cream lovers, with its unique flavors, cozy vibe, and friendly staff.

Was a sweltering humid day and IOG was the perfect place to drop in. Staff was good, I don't know about the guy who said the delivery guys were bad but they were a joy to chat with and very nice. Atmosphere was good too, in short a decent place and good people. Influencers have a knack of showboating to gain followers and promotions but the honest to God truth is lost in their haste to plaster their faces on IG and TikTok. So here goes the truth for once, Is the gelato something to write home about with all the fanfare these people show? No. Don't get me wrong here, the flavours are good but it's not great. Puthalaum sea salt which was fan favorite was plain vanilla with rare to find 1 or 2 salt pieces. Glaring issue is there were no mention of the ingredients within the ice cream. This is very worrying as there might be kids or even adults who are alergic to nuts and other ingredients. The chocolate gelato is just chocolate gelato and that's it. The quantity for the price could have increased a bit as well IMHO. These guys should have had their own signature taste when it come to those plain old chocolate gelato to make you go Daaamnnn!!! BUT if you try one here you left wondering what is it that these influences bragged about here. I believe it's a disservice to not tell the truth so that they can improve and Yes, they can be the best. Make even the simplest taste better IOG, give each and every gelato a twist so when your customers try it they don't think it's just ice cream and why I payed so much for one. Instead let they say in truth, damnnn that's the best gelato I had while visiting SL. Will I drop in again when back, Yes I will. I want to see how IOG grow and incorporate their own twist...

I recently visited Isle of Gelato within Galle Fort, and I was thoroughly impressed. This charming little spot offers a cozy ambiance, with both indoor seating on the first floor and outdoor seating, making it a great place to relax and enjoy your treats. The highlight, of course, is their incredible range of authentic gelatos. Every flavor I tried was fresh and bursting with flavor, which was truly a refreshing treat in the Sri Lankan heat. Whether you're into classic flavors or something more unique, there’s something for everyone. What makes the experience even better is the friendly staff. They’re more than happy to let you sample different flavors before making your decision. Plus, they also serve coffee, making it an ideal spot for an afternoon break or a sweet indulgence after exploring the fort. Highly recommend visiting if you're in Galle Fort!

In my recent visit to Gallefort for a weekend getaway, wanted to try this new joint of Gelato that is famous for its Italian quality ice cream. So I went with my friend during the less crowed time which was after dinner around 8pm. At a glance, I was unable to choose the flavor i liked, so one of their staff member helped me by offering few samples of their newly arrived ice creams flavours. All of them tasted great, but I was left with one choice, so I went for a flavor that has a mix of toffee and caramel which well fit to my sweet tooth. The price was a bit higher compared other joint at Peddler's street but the taste was much better. Yet I believe if they can bring down their prices a little bit down, they can have the advantage in both price and the taste. Anyways the location, seating area and overall experience was great.

Nestled in a charming corner, this ice cream cafe is an absolute must visit if you decide to go to Galle Fort! The cozy ambiance and impeccable service make it a delightful spot to unwind. With a variety of delicious ice cream flavors and a rich selection of coffee and hot chocolate options, there's something to satisfy every craving. What sets this place apart is the added touch of a smoking area for those looking to enjoy a treat alongside a smoke. Whether you're seeking a sweet escape or a warm cup of comfort, this cafe ticks all the boxes for a perfect indulgence. Highly recommended for a relaxing time out!

One of the best Gelato places in Sri Lanka. A cute little place inside Galle fort. Hot spot for tourists who’s travelling down south of the island. Plenty of flavours to choose from. Some traditional ones and some not so much. They had some interesting flavour which I couldn’t try unfortunately. The one I got was the chocolate brownie flavour which was absolutely amazing. Not much of parking space but Galle fort has a lot of foot traffic. Really good experience at the store. Would recommend to anyone.
