🌱 Absolute gem for vegans and anyone gluten free! They also offer a meat curry as part of the buffet. The fruit curry is still my favorite curry in Sri Lanka, the taste is fresh and really really delicious. 💁♂️ There are 6 curries and 5 are vegetarian/vegan, they will rotate the curries depending on different seasons, there will always be a coconut sambol, coocnut oil and coconut milk dish, Rifkhan, the chef there will go through and explain each dish to you and he is an absolute delight! The rice is also very flavorsome with spices and turmeric, overall an absolutely great spot to stop for lunch or dinner while in Galle fort. 😋 The ginger beer is the best Iv'e ever had, fresh ingredients and very refreshing after a walk around Galle fort in the sun. 🙌 The atmosphere and feel to the place is also very nice, relaxing and Rifkhan made my dining experience so great, he will engage in conversations and loves to learn and share, he is very kind and got me talking to other customers also, great place, great guy and good vibes! 🔌 There is also charging ports for anyone who wishes to use them for wok or charging your devices. An amazing little pitstop during your travels around the fort, it is a small place and that makes it cozy and gives a home like feeling. 👏 It is 1850rs for all you can eat buffet and I think thats very fairly priced, given the location an high quality of food and service. Theres a cafe right near too which is worth checking out, again very nice people! (cafe 82) Much love ❤️🙏 📺 There’s a video on my YouTube where Rifkhan explains all the dishes! 😃✌️(TravellingKook on YouTube) enjoy!

🥥🍽️ Coconut Sambal: The Flavour Oasis of Galle! 🍽️🥥 Hold on to your taste buds, folks, because Coconut Sambal is the culinary rollercoaster you didn't know you needed! 🎢 First up, that buffet? It's like Willy Wonka decided to switch from chocolates to lip-smacking Sri Lankan delicacies. Second to none doesn't even begin to cover it! Now, let's talk about the staff. If friendliness was a sport, they'd be winning gold at the Foodie Olympics! Each person I met was a shimmering star of hospitality, making me feel like royalty. 👑 But wait! The pièce de résistance: the food. It's like your taste buds took a first-class trip to Flavortown. Every morsel feels like a warm hug from Grandma - if your Grandma was a gourmet chef with a PhD in DELICIOUS! 🤤 Budget-conscious foodies, rejoice! The price-to-all-you-can-eat ratio here? Absolute no-brainer! It's like finding a designer dress at a garage sale. 🤩 OH! And let's not forget the homemade ginger beer - a zesty potion that tastes like it's been brewed by wizards. One sip and I swear, it's like your insides just signed up for a spa day. 💆♂️ The cherry on top? They mix up the menu every single day. That's right! Every. Single. Day. You could come back every day for a year and STILL be treated to something new. Groundhog Day, but make it gourmet! In summary, if you haven’t dined at Coconut Samual, have you really tasted Galle? Race you to the buffet line! 🏁🍛🥂

I recently visited Coconut Sambol in Galle, and wow, what an unforgettable experience! As soon as you walk in, you're greeted with a cozy, rustic vibe that instantly makes you feel at home. The place has a charming, laid-back atmosphere perfect for relaxing and enjoying some authentic Sri Lankan food.Let's talk about the food first—absolutely DELICIOUS! 😍 The clay pot curries are a must-try, especially if you're a fan of home-cooked goodness. I went for their chicken curry, dhal, and rice, and everything was spot on, full of rich flavors. The food felt so fresh, and you could tell it was cooked with love. Also, the all-you-can-eat deal? Such great value for money! But what really won me over was their homemade ginger beer. It's refreshing, zesty, and the perfect drink to beat the heat. Honestly, I could’ve had two of these just for how good they were! The staff was super friendly and welcoming, making the whole experience even better. They’re always happy to chat and make sure you have everything you need. The service feels personal and warm, just like the food!If you're ever in Galle, definitely stop by Coconut Sambol. Whether you're a tourist or a local, you'll love the food, atmosphere, and overall experience. Can't wait to come back!

The reviews are true! It was a wonderful community-like experience due to the cosy setting. Like we are a large family eating home cooked food from our tribe received from caring individuals who love what they do. I was happy that my friend and I were the first to arrive at 1+pm on a Saturday so we got first dibs with an explanation to each dish. But shortly after the whole restaurant was occupied and they even set up a table outside to accommodate the waiting line. There were people also waiting when we left. The food of course was flavorful, a lot more than how my plate looked. There was rice, sour fruit curry akin to acar with lots of gravy, pumpkin and sweet potato curry, lentils, cabbage curry, coconut sambal and chicken curry. The neighboring table loved their ginger beer, which we heard had generous amounts of ginger. The price was 1850 SLR already inclusive of tax. It's the most affordable all you can eat I have found in Galle catered to foreigners.

I went because I'm used to 120-200rp plates in Sri Lanka and people have listed this place as '$' inexpensive... For veg buffet it is 900rp. Add the chicken dish and it is 990rp. The ginger beer was delicious and 350rp. -2 stars because it wasn't much of a buffet. It was empty when I arrived but there was no food. Waited and by the time more food was heated, the place was full. The serving bowls are small, so after 5-6 people take some, they empty and it took a long time for them to be refilled. You'll be lucky to get servings of everything on the first try, and possibly miss out on 1-2 dishes because they run out and aren't refilled. My experience was that I paid 990 to eat and was left hungry- wasn't interested in filling up on only rice. It may be flavorful if you're used to Western cuisine, but if you're used to South Asian cuisine, it will be somewhat bland. The ginger beer was expensive but tasty. It's normally 50-100 in standard non-tourist places.

For 2350R all you can eat curry this place is great for value and the food is pretty tasty I'd suggesy going with an appetite so you can try everything. We went for dinner. It's a tiny place, maybe fitting 4-5 covers if that. You have a choice of several curry from veggie to meat with rice. The aubergine (eggplant) and chicken and daal curry were my favourites. The vanilla shake was yum. Unfortunately no pictures of the food or drink as I scoffed the food pretty quickly. 😅 My mate had the homemade ginger beer and I had the vanilla shake both of which were super tasty. This is the meal we were looking for, Sri Lankan curries and Sri Lankan hospitality warm and welcoming. They also have bottles of water if you're not fancying that, though it is not chilled.
