Chili Lodge — Hotel in Sri Lanka

Very comfortable stay in Mirissa. The place is only 5 mins from the Main Street and supermarket. The rooms were large also with a balcony, everything was clean. There was air conditioning so the room was never hot. Between 3 rooms there is a shared kitchen (2 hobs) and also a small communal balcony. It was also useful that there was a mini fridge inside the room. The host Shiromi is very nice and welcomed us with a coconut water on arrival. The family only live downstairs so it is easy to get help and the area is pretty safe. It’s also possible to order some bits of food. You can rent a scooter for 1,700 (much better than local companies) or a tuktuk. Only small downside was the WiFi was sometimes good...

We spent a really comfortable few days here. The family are so lovely and welcoming, we had everything we needed. The room was very clean and the shared kitchen. There was enough there to cook meals comfortably. The bedding and bed were high quality and cosy. The location is lovely and quiet, easy walk to the beach and shops. The balcony was perfect and covered so you can sit there any time of day. It was one of our best stays in sri Lanka! If I go back to sri Lanka I would 100% go back and stay there. Chili Lodge was the best place we stayed at in Sri Lanka. The staff are very friendly and helpful, the room and barhroom was clean as well as the common places (balcony, living room, kitchen).
