The room was quite big, but it was very cold, I slept with my boyfriend’s beanie on. I didn’t liked the fact that the sheets for the bed aren’t included in the price. You have to pay for a set which is 75kr. Is not too much but it bothered me that if you book a room for two, with a queen bed, you’ll receive two beds pressed on each other, so you have two small beds instead of one, and they make you pay for two linens, which by the way, weren’t that clean. So I suggest you to bring your own. And it’s not comfortable to sleep like this, because it is a whole gap between you and your partner. I liked the kitchen, it was clean and even though you have to pay for a breakfast, they provide with some food that you can take which is for free. The bathrooms are clean, even though I’ve never seen a woman to clean them, but you have there soap and some sort of shower gel and shampoo combined. The local it is clean itself, there is no one at the reception but that wasn’t a problem for us. I recommend if you don’t have high expectations or standards. It is a good price, you’re close to the Slottskogen Göteborg park and the botanical garden. The view was beautiful, and downstairs to the left it is a sushi pub with very good food you can try if...
Read moreThe hotel is right in the middle of everything. I was able to take the tram and bus to most destinations just by crossing the street. And thoroughly enjoyed the long walks to most parts of the city through the major streets on both sides of the hotel. It is quite close to three major attractions - the Haga district, Skansen Kronen (ancient fortress) and Slottsskogen (sprawling park). The management (note: with highly professional staff) was most kind to assign my husband and I to a room with a balcony on the second floor and we enjoyed it over breakfast and late night snacks... As for aesthetics and cleanliness, the hotel is tops on both counts. The minimalist Scandinavian setup is awesome, though they can use new towels and upgrading of kitchen equipment (e.g., kettles). It will also help if they would notify the guests early enough in an email that they actually have nobody around on certain hours (e.g., 11am to 3pm) before check-in time. Apart from these inconveniences, we had a great...
Read moreThe hotel is quiet, clean and very well locate. It was fairly easy to reach by bus from downtown. Self check in is a breeze after clear instructions were sent to my mobile via SMS and also e-mail. I stayed in a dorm with 3 bunk beds. Each bed has a curtain, which greatly improves privacy. Also, each bed is equipped with dimming reading light, two power outlets and a small metal basked for personal belongings. They provide bed linen if you do not bring your own, and it is charged a fair price. There is no WC in the room, but there are plenty outside. In the floor there are 3 WCs and 3 shower rooms, all of them very clean.
The breakfast lounge (breakfast charged separately but fully worth the price) is super cozy and decorated in fine Scandinavian fashion. Breakfast is self-service and tasty. I highly recommend purchasing the breakfast as there are no nearby places as a cheaper alternative.
Finally, staff is super friendly, as the rest of...
