Slottskogen has the country's biggest playground, which is very popular. It has swings, a huge slide, a small manual carrousel, jumping pits, a huge whale to climb inside, a water play area, a small train for younger kids and an indoor area with toilets and microwaves etc. That is closed sometimes and then there are free but nasty smelling public toilets. On weekends and summer there are supervised hours with staff that organise things for children and lend some activity toys. The bbq is burning and you can bring your own sausages or buy them cheap. The parque also has a small petting zoo, a pond with seals, some penguins and wildlife animals but all that takes some walking as the parque is rather large. The parque has no entrance fee. Read morePlikta Playground is by far the best outdoor playground I’ve ever taken my kids to 🛝✨. Beautifully located at the entrance of Slottsskogen, it’s surrounded by stunning nature 🌿🌸.
There are tons of fun things for kids to explore — slides 🛝, obstacle courses 🧗, swings 🪀, trampolines 🤸, and much more. One highlight was the fantastic labyrinth 🌲🌀 — the kids absolutely loved navigating their way through it and could’ve played there all day! You can easily spend hours here in the blink of an eye ⏳😄.
There’s great seating for both kids and adults 🪑, and during the summer you might even catch a theater show 🎭. Toilets 🚻 are available, and in the warmer months, ice cream is sold here too 🍦☀️.
I highly recommend visiting this gem if you have the chance — don’t miss out on this paradise for children 🧒👧💎. Enjoy...
Read moreThis playground is the embodiment of Swedish view on parenting, equality, love for nature and sense of community. If you are Swedish...it's a good playground with toilets and ice-cream close by. If you are foreign. Just sit, watch and enjoy. I spent countless hours at this playground with my children. I see us as very lucky people to have this opportunity in our lives. A calm place just in the midst of busy city life, so close to grand Slottsskogen park. There are bikes and other toys to borrow from local association, you can use permanent BBQ-stands to enjoy your picnic or just let kids run free. I saw my share of playgrounds in big cities. This one is...
