Den Lilla Tavernan — Restaurant in Göteborgs Stad

I’ve been recommended this restaurant by friends and colleagues, that had been there years ago. And let me tell you how was my experience on my birthday dinner in the restaurant. The waiters were not very friendly and attentive, they took they time to serve us and were not very friendly. The meats were dry und tough like a shoe sole, the fried potatoes were under cooked and soaking in oil, the calamari was simply cut in half battered and deep fried( not nice tough like rubber and soaking in oil 🤢! Overall a bad experience and when I tried to speck to the manager and show that most of the food was left untouched she wanted us to pay for it, so after some push back we came to an agreement. The restaurant is quite cozy and spacious. They also have outdoor seating during the summer and the staff were really nice to give us a table even though we didn't have a reservation. The starters were a bit of a letdown with just one piece of Octopus on the plate for the price. The calamari was also quite oily and the batter was on the higher side. The main course definitely made up as all the dishes were super delicious. The sides served with the main dishes were also very good. Definitely a good place for some...

Well, it’s been one of my favorite restaurants over the years. Tonight in particular when my party of 7 turned out to be one of 10. The ambiance, the food and the flexibility of the staff to accommodate a group of various ages, despite all the chaos was more than we expected tonight. Definitely it begs for a return very soon. To top it off, I got home and realized I left my phone (not a cheap one) at the restaurant. I rushed there and Nikos had safely put it away for me. Thank you to the staff at Lilla...
