Kikaren in Slottsskogen is a truly hidden treasure, open on weekends in July and August with guided tours. And what an experience it was!

Our guide was absolutely wonderful – calm, knowledgeable, and passionate about the history of the building and its surroundings 📜❤️. She led us gently around the grounds, sharing the story of the place before unlocking the door and guiding us safely up into the tower.

And wow – the view over the park and city took our breath away 🌆🌳 It was serene, beautiful, and full of magic.

A nice place to take a walk in the woods that leads to Slottakogen. It was closed the day we went so we couldn’t go inside . I wouldn’t say on its own it’s worth a trip but great to see on the way to the zoo in the park . I will go back when the leaves fall so I can have a few of the city . Beautiful viewing point with a nearby view of Gothenburg and the park around it. The architecture is nice and calming and there is nature all around to enjoy, including some shade during a warm summer day. On your way to or back you may spot animals roaming around which do not seem to be too afraid of human beings...
