Expensive for the quality of the room.

The blinds do not properly cover the windows, some of the light switches didn’t work so the room was very dim. It was an attic room so was very warm with no air con. The bed was a fold out bed which is contained in a box, when you’re lying in bed the box is over your face and is very close - I was afraid to wake up and hit my head. No way did the room fit the 4 people the advertising said. It’d fit 2 people at best.

There are also major roadworks right outside meaning there are flashing lights and banging all night.

I really believe you can find something better for money. I hope this hotel will start looking at their reviews and...

I feel bad as the staff are nice, and why I gave 1 star for that but I wouldn’t stay there again due to:

No proper bed - walked in to a single camp bed with cheap thin mattress that pulls down from wall. My booking hasn’t said single bed. Reception came and put it back and pulled out the sofa bed which is slightly wider, again cheap mattress so not comfy.

Old, cheap furniture and as people have mentioned cheap, flimsy blinds.

Was charged a cleaning fee but it didn’t feel that clean, microwave was dirty, soap all messy, bits on floor.

Small leaking shower.

Most tv channels didn’t work.

Was very hot, even once turned off radiator but was loud if had windows...

We stay at this appartment house nearly every year during the Fantasy Basel show. It is fully equipped, clean, cosy and we feel very much at home. Plenty of restaurants arownd, Old Town center just 2 tram stops away. The reception team is very friendly and they always find the best solution to a client. Thank you!!!!!
