The highlight of this authentic Thai restaurant was the spicy peanut curry followed by the sticky rice with mango for a dessert. These two dishes will definitely be my order next time around. The downside to our visit was the service. Our table seemed to have been forgotten with us having to remind and request updates on our order frequently. Additional requests for sauce were acknowledged but not fulfilled. Then we requested the dessert menu, ordered the dishes, only for a different waiter to come around afterwards asking us for our dessert order again. I had a wonderful experience dining at Restaurant Boo at Messeplatz! The staff was very friendly and provided fast service, which made us feel welcomed and well taken care of.

I ordered the Massaman Curry with planted chicken along with a side of rice noodles, while my friend had the Fried Rice with Tofu. Both dishes were absolutely delicious and filling, with authentic flavors that stood out.

The ambiance was cozy and inviting, making it a perfect spot to relax and enjoy our meal. Plus, the pricing was very reasonable, especially considering the generous portion sizes.

I’d highly recommend this place to anyone who enjoys good Asian food. We’ll definitely be back to try more...

This year has seen a boom in Asian and fusion restaurants in Basel. Despite the name, Boo is not a shock, but a pleasant surprise. The Panang curry has a two chilli warning on the menu. However, it is Swiss spicy rather than Malaysian spicy. If you like it spicy, just ask for a top up or use the chili sauce on the table.

The menu offers a lot of tempting dishes, so I recommend downloading it and reviewing before you get to the restaurant.

Make sure to try the Vietnamese coffee and stir if you like.
