If you're looking for a place to relax and unwind in Leukerbad, Thermalhotels and Walliser Alpentherme & SPA is a fantastic choice. The views from the windows are simply indescribable – breathtaking mountain scenery that makes you feel like you’re in a dream.
The staff is incredibly kind and welcoming, ensuring a comfortable stay. The rooms have an old-style design, and while the beds aren’t the most comfortable and the TV is just a small monitor, let’s be honest – no one comes here to stay in the room!
The real highlight is the spa and wellness area, which is very fine, not crowded, and perfect for relaxation. It features three branches:
Two indoor hot water spas, one slightly warmer than the other, with a cave-style design that enhances the cozy and soothing atmosphere.
One outdoor warm water pool, offering an absolutely stunning view of the surrounding mountains.
The sauna area is limited to just two rooms:
One at 85°C for those who enjoy a traditional hot sauna experience.
One at 45°C, which is much milder and great for a more gentle heat therapy session.
Even with this limitation, considering the price and all-inclusive offer, it’s still an excellent deal.
Breakfast is another pleasant surprise, with a wide variety of foods and drinks, catering to different tastes. For the price, I truly believe this is...
Read moreI stayed in the property Jan 2021. ||Everything in the hotel has to be improved. Spent calling 2 days in a row to get through as there was no answer at all on day 1.||Once I emailed to get booking confirmation, I received response stating the stay was confirmed but no booking details nor details of the hotel or details of the booking were mentioned.||Upon arrival (since the restaurants were closed because of the Covid 19), we were asked to find a take away in town, as they were not serving lunch but they offered to book buffet dinner in the hotel. No sense here.||The phone in the room was not working, no soap or shampoo (basic hygiene especially during the pandemic times were inexistent). ||Room needed desperate refurbishment, very poor rating for Swiss standards.||To go to room we had to go out of the reception and go around the hotel to get there.||To go to baths (which we got offered only one entry) we had to walk through the restaurant. I do not understand why they closed the access door to facilitate the passage. ||Same problem to get to the parking of the hotel, need to drive half town to get there.||Food for breakfast was very basic. Hot water for tea was finished, cups as well, seems staff was lost in their tasks.||Really disappointed with...
Read moreGood things: spa facilities look better and bigger then any other hotel in the city we saw. Stuff was polite. You get a card for discounts for public baths. It is cheaper then their other hotel - de France which is across. Reception looks really nice and you can see it was once a breathtaking place. Not so good : 145 CHF out of the season, rooms are outdated, beds are not so comfortable, broken tiles in the shower, low pressure on showers, broken tiles in the pools, rasty renovation pipes from the cilling at the grot entry, spa is basically 3 big swiming polls with hot water and one has a small corner with bubles. No parking so you pay 14 CHF per 24h, city tax in a very small city is 6 per person (not their fault but still) All clocks at spa place were not working, breakfast was eatable - and I am really not picky, but many things were very dry, too sugary, old coffee machines, not at all to be 100+ CHF per night. I would not go back but I hope they will invest to renovate because they have amazing views, and in Switzerland most hotels do charge +100 CHF so ok, this one has a spa. This was suppost to be our chil weekend but it was nothing special...
