We stayed in Leukerbad for 3 days and kept coming back to this restaurant — and for good reason! The location is absolutely stunning, with breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains. Every visit felt special thanks to the warm hospitality of the staff — they were genuinely friendly, caring, and made us feel right at home.
We tried everything we could: fondue, wine, Aperol Spritz, coffee… and each time it was excellent. You can really tell they put care into both the food and the service. Highly recommended whether you're just stopping by after a hike or staying a few nights like we did. Would definitely come...
Read moreWalked in during the "off season” (last weekend of the ski season) when there were big road constructions around the restaurant. We got a table with a mountain view. The waiter was fast and friendly with questions. First Good bread and local wine list. The starter, truffle fries, was ok. The unique home-made sauce was a big hit in my opinion. The salad dressing got a hint of sesame, a surprise in an Alpine/North Italy traditional restaurant. Lamb and ravioli as 2 main courses were great too, accompanied with unique house sauces made of local vegetables and gravy. They made ravioli stuff too! Impressive....

One of staff came to our table. That guy was a man. We wanted to hear his recommendation of wine list then, he started to speak so quickly without asking and listening attentively of my needs and just ignore what I requested.
While talking, I did not want to order wine from his recommendation. His recommendation was house wine and not introduce any other wines. So then, “I’d like to order pinot noir glass of white wine”. I said. All of the sudden, “You do not know about wine, right?” he said. Is it normal to be staff attitude to customer? Even though our dishes were meat fondue, how do we know the good combination will be house wine? He took the menu and “I will bring house wine because this is better”.
Meat fondue 250g 메뉴를 2명이서 총 500g 주문했어요. 고기는 정말 맛있었고, 사이드 메뉴도 풍성했어요. 그런데, 두께가 너무 두꺼워 두번째로 나올 나머지 250g 을 못 먹을 거 같아 다른 테이블을 서빙하고 있는 웨이터분께 얘기를 드렸어요. 한참 후에 취소는 안되고 대신 19 CHF을 빼주겠다는 suggestion을 받고 다시 식사를 하기 시작했어요.
그런데 갑자기 앞서말한 남자 웨이터가 갑자기 저희 테이블을 지나가면서 주문해서 저희가 마시고 있는(안에 물이 들어있는데) 유리물병을 가져가더라구요. 테이블이 작아서 자리가 없고 너무 협소해서 물병을 내려놓은 거였어요. 너무 황당해서 남자친구가 “마시고 있는 물병을 왜 가져가냐고 하고” 다시 뺏는 상황이 왔고, 이후에 남자 웨이터는 사과도 없이 그냥 자리를 떠나고 다시 서빙을 하더라구요. 계산서를 받고, 계산할때 제가 왜 물병을 가져갔냐라고 물어보니까 다마신줄알았다고 그게 아니면 바닥에 놓지말라고 하더라구요.
결국 나가려고 하는데 그때 “이제 물병 가져가도 되겠냐고” 시비를 걸길래 화나있는 남자친구를 제가 진정시켰어요.
제 생일이었고, 남자친구가 예약해서 기분좋게 밥먹으러 왔다가, French(France) or Swiss(Switzerland) 국적으로 일하는 사람들인지는 모르겠지만, 콧잔등에 콧수염있는 웨이터분은 손님을 항상 그런식으로 응대하시나요?
이제는 이 관광지에 놀러오면 이 식당은 다시 방문할 일 없을 거 같네요. 레스토랑...
