Good Garden Apartment — Hotel in Taichung

Let talk about the pros for selecting this accommodation as a choice for long term stay in Taichung.

I agreed with others that this place is located at a prime location, very near to Taichung train station, with some eateries which u could walk to in less than 5 mins. Secretary Lisa was very friendly. Cleanliness is pretty good too.

Now let talk about why only 1 star is given because they have violated the most basic thing that a traveller is looking for : Privacy. I have chatted with Lisa, the secretary on multiple occasions. Throughout our conversations, she mentioned that I do not have to switched off the lights to the room when I take a shower. That’s is an interesting comment she made. Why would she be aware of what you are doing in the room when she wasn’t there? I’m a sole traveller so there isn’t anyway someone could have known what I did in the room.

There’s one occasion where I was sick and had to be at Taipei for one night. As electricity bills are being charged separately on top of your room charges, obviously one would be keen to keep track of how much bills you will incur. There’s actually a meter at the water tank. I was being told that it’s the temperature. Since I have stayed there closed to three weeks before I had to made an impromptu trip to Taipei I knew what is the temperature roughly at. It is almost always 40 degrees. While I was not in the room for more than 24 hours, I’m being puzzled why it spiked up to 63 degrees when I turned on. So if there is no one in the room, why did the temperature spike?

The picture of the accommodation is misleading as I wasn’t aware that the toilet was very small and if you are taller than perhaps 165cm, you will have hit the celling of toilet. This wasn’t mentioned anywhere when I booked the room on their official website or any further communications I have with them via WhatsApp.

If you want privacy which I think every traveller do, that’s the bare minimum, pls do your own due diligence when you decide to go for this accommodation.

我因為個人因素摔了跤，舊傷新傷導致我必須手術，之前住的地方即便有家人在旁，但是照顧病人的艱辛以及徬徨，我已經讓家人經歷過一次，所以特意從家裡搬出來，由於要很長一段時間行動不便，綜合考慮之下，找到這裡。

本來是圖方便：離醫院進、有電梯、有垃圾管理、房間大小剛剛好、也有廚房供應微波爐。不過住這裡已經是第三個月了，管家們都很關心每個住戶，遇上問題也都會盡快幫忙，而由於我的狀況，更是熱心幫我，雖然我是獨居，但我需要幫忙的時候，他們的幫忙讓我很安心。住下來沒有壓力，非常舒適。
