First of all, from my perspective this is not a luxury apartment just a standard apartment in a very famous beautiful PSSSF Twin Towers. I stayed six nights, check-in time is 14:00, I asked for early check-in 12:00 and was told to pay for that, the room was free (unoccupied), I asked to talk with a manager who appears to be a nice person very polite and charming who told me yes indeed you’ll be charged for early check-in even one hour, for two hours will be $60. From outside no one to help carrying the luggage to the reception (no porter) you’ve to climb the steps with your bags. No place to sit means no chairs on the reception (during check-in if you’ve other guests along with you both have to stand till check-in is completed). In the apartment no telephone, you’ve to use your own mobile phone to call reception, bathtubs are very small no separate shower you’ve to shower inside the bathtub which inconvenient, all three rooms are upstairs you’ve to climb the long staircases which is not suitable for very old persons or with wheelchair, breakfast and restaurant you’ve to walk outside and cross the road to another building, the entire apartment has only one piece of small rug under the coffee table from my perspective is not a luxury apartment. |I was given the wrong room not the one that mentioned in the Booking.com list, e.g. from booking.com mentioned that “This apartment's special feature is the pool with a view………bathrooms with a bath and a shower….”.When I asked why are you giving me an apartment not according to the booking.com description, the answer from the manager was “there’s only one apartment (studio) of such quality and is not available, but this is what you’ve paid for, I don’t know why bookin.com provide you this details; sorry for that”. |Very good location for most of thing such as ferry terminals, business, banking, shopping and restaurants |Very good swimming pool but no place to sit (no bench no chairs)|Very good breakfast but you’ve to walk across the street |Excellent sea and harbor view in every canner in the apartment |Excellent Internet (one of the best Internet), Best TV programs including Netflix ...
Read moreWe went to Dar-es-salaam on a 4 week holiday. We booked the Penthouse at Fairview Luxury Apartments. We planned to stay in Dar for a month. The initial booking to the final check out was amazingly handled and an outstanding service was provided by the Manager Zianne.||We had a few settling in issues but these were dealt with Zianne and her assistant John very professionally and immediately. Nothing was a problem to fix any issues if there were any.||The apartment was big being a penthouse for two of us ,the cleaning service provided was excellent and the ladies who came to clean were really helpful and courteous; and so were all the staff we came across. A special mention for John, as he was such a polite, professional person who was extremely courteous and helpful in every way possible for any help we needed. Nothing phased him and always came to the apartment with a smile on his face. All this credit of courteous of their staff goes to Zianne and her management style. We had an amazing time and we will be returning back soon! We felt even though the apartment was expensive it was well worth it!! Thank you Zianne and team!||The apartment is situated in the centre of the town within easy reach of all amenities, to make an enjoyable stay.|The beds were comfortable and shower facilities were good and so was the air conditioning system in every room and because of the hot weather this was a blessing!!||We never had any power outage in the whole month we stayed. Whereas the whole of Dar were suffering power cuts. due to hot weather the whole of Dar were complaining how hot it was, but we were very much looked after and we loved being in a cool apartment. Thank you Zianne, you were amazing and we are...
