We had a fantastic time in Boutique Ocean View, we stayed for 6 nights. The hotel is nice, rooms are spacious and clean(Cleaned every day). Staff is very friendly and will always try to help you. Breakfast is great and has veriety. The manager Claire is amazing she loves children and animals and if you want assistance with something she will help you. Wifi is very good aswell.
Keep in mind it is a small hotel with +-10 rooms and the swimming pool is for relax and cooldown, this is a preference which we prefere above the big hotels. Also a big plus is a restaurant maje maje which is just 20 meters from the hotel which provide nice drinks and food for lunch and dinner on the beach.
If we come back to Zanzibar we will book again! A big thanks to Claire and all the staff😎👍😁
P.s There where some issues from other guests about room availability booked through booking.com. This is the fault of booking.com just give Boutique Ocean a call to be certain about room...

Be careful - they cancelled our family room booking just days before we were due to arrive, in peak season! Because they have 'overbooked'. But when we then had to go back online to look for new accomodation (now with just days before we arrive, already well into our trip) they actually still had rooms available. So instead of absorbing their overbooking error for the family room by simply giving us two rooms they had available, they cancelled on us which meant we would have to pay twice as much now to book two rooms at either their hotel or any other one that still had availability, with added stress of having no guarantee of any room so close to arrival!
Absolute disgrace to put guests through that type of stress and unexpected additional cost...
