Mabungo cafe& Restaurant — Restaurant in Unguja

A very nice diner located on the busy street for tourists. The seafood was something I really liked that I came back there 2 times after my first visit. I could also highly recommend their grilled octopus. The lady who was welcoming guests was also very friendly and kind. I also ordered the seafood platter, which was delicious! What I found sad was that, like any other areas on the island, the electricity could just turn off for some minutes (or hours) at any time, especially in the evening. It happened to me once that there was a power outage and I had to wait for my juice to be prepared. Overall, it was a nice place to enjoy...

We were only in Nungwi for four days and still we visited this cafe & restaurant three times, that's just how good it is! My parents had two of the curries which were wonderfully spiced. We also had the grilled fish - both Kingfish and Tuna which were also wonderful but the absolute best dish was the grilled calamari! If you visit the restaurant be sure to check it out :) However the true star of the show were the people, they were incredibly welcoming and so lovely, we already miss the food...

It is a nice local restaurant in the heart of Nungwi, which offers food for a really good price. Most dishes vary around 10-13 k shilling which is not more then 4$ and for the quality you get this is truly amazing. Our waitress was really friendly and we did not have to wait long for our food.
