Came here twice. Unfortunately I didn't enjoy my meal like I did the previous evening. Should have ordered the same exact meal.

On the 1st visit, I ordered the Dorado fish, which is a filet with chips, pilau rice, and side salad. It was so delicious that I wanted more. It wasn't filing because the filet was too small.

On the 2nd visit, the cooks got my order partially incorrect. I was first served the garlic prawns. It was perfectly cooked but I didn't like the sweet sauce as much. I expected a more garlicky taste. The king fish was too dry and flavorless. They gave me too much rice. I asked for more salad and the salad was too salty and had too much lime. The Dorado fish was good as usual. The rice didn't taste as nice as the previous night. And Mango juice was delicious.

Fish Market Local Restaurant is a true seaside oasis for seafood lovers and those seeking a romantic evening. As you step in, the gentle sound of waves and the scent of the sea envelop your senses, creating an atmosphere reminiscent of perfect dinner scenes from the movies. The staff is incredibly attentive yet never intrusive – as if they're perfectly in tune with your needs. They recommended we try the fresh clams and the freshly caught octopus, and each dish was a burst of flavor, freshly prepared and beautifully presented.

The highlight of the evening was when the sun began to set over the horizon, bathing the entire restaurant in golden light. Best meal on Nungwi beach. Delicious food, large portions, and very cheap pricing. The mixed seafood platter for 45k (~19USD) was awesome and was a feast for the price. Non-seafood lovers can also enjoy their grilled chicken burger or grilled chicken plate. Almost all dishes come with fries, rice, and a mini salad. The fresh juice is also worth the wait.

The guys running the restaurant really care about their business and even rake the beach in front to ensure picture perfect vibes for diners. I ended up eating here twice it was so good compared to the local competition.

Only two minor things to note: It was cash only on both days I went. They accepted USD but still something to prepare for.
