What a beautiful place – with lovely staff!💕 After we visited MAHI MAHI (because our dear friend Joy works there now) we were overwhelmed by the place. It was recently built and belongs to the affiliated Kite Club/Kitesurfing School of Ala and Momo (we were able to admire their kite skills several times from our hotel - amazing!) The food is excellent and the portions are huge - and all at a really good price. The location is fantastic - just the right place to relax, listen to good music, enjoy cool drinks, watch the hustle and bustle on the beach and admire the magnificent view of the sea. But best of all are the great employees - Joy, Runi, Tala and Said are full of charm and warmth, create a good atmosphere and make it easy for you to feel really comfortable at MAHI MAHI! We made good friends and it was very difficult for us to say goodbye on the last evening - but we will definitely come...

What a delightful surprise! Mahi Mahi Restaurant was recommended by our diving base, and it turned out to be absolutely delicious. I’d even say the food leaned towards fine dining while still being mid-budget – an amazing find!

The service was lovely and warm, and while it could use just a tiny bit more polish, they clearly gave their best, which added to the charm of the experience. I had calamari with fries and veggies, and my husband enjoyed the grilled prawns – both dishes were exceptional.

The atmosphere was fantastic, the drinks were spot-on, and the food quality was outstanding, especially considering the restaurant wasn’t busy at all. Mahi Mahi truly is an undiscovered treasure in Nungwi, and we’re so glad...
