Hakuna Matata Villa — Hotel in Unguja

No tv on your room, no föhn, everything closes at 8 pm in the hotel so if you're thirsty at 8.30 pm you have to leave the hotel. You pay 5 dollar a day for a fridge/minibar in your room. The Pool is really smal, if there are 2 more people in the Pool, the only thing you can do is just standing.

We paid 80 dollar for the room and 5 dollar for the minibar so the Cost was 85 dollar a day.

No fcking way i will return for that money.

20 or 30 dollar for a day including the fridge was maybe a thing to think about but 85 dolars for a night is waaaaay to much for an hotel from this kind

We loved our stay at Hakuna Matata villa. Owner Marieke was responsive and helpful on email before we arrived, and check in with us regularly to ensure everything was ok. Her colleague Tuma made sure we were comfortable and her team provided great service. The house is quiet, well-maintained and beautiful, a perfect little haven just steps from the beach. The setup also encourages guests to mingle, in a very relaxed atmosphere. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful, and the chef prepared yummy and affordable meals on order, from scratch, at lunch or dinner for those who wanted to dine in.
