Lovely location on the Wang riverbank with a large terrace running down to the river. Plenty of seating here too.|The old rambling wooden house must have been lovely in its time and still has a deal of charm. Unfortunately, this has not been improved by excessive use of grey, grey concrete and screeding both outside and in the rooms and bathrooms. I guess this is to save cost compared with wood but it seroously detracts from the charm of the place. |Fortunately the effect is lifted somewhat by the pastel green and white paintwork.|Relatively expensive for a guesthouse but I guess you are paying for the location. |There is much better value on the other side...

There is also a very photogenic cafe Mahamitr right next to the house which has excellent coffee. Just down the road - barely a minute - is Kad Kong Ta the bustling weekend market.||I found the pastel green house itself an attraction - a bit like staying in a museum with all sorts of retro stuff scattered around the house and nice shiny wooden floors.||Would recommend Room 9 upstairs - en-suite, large and spacious with big windows. No places for hanging cloth. Room 16 is terribly nightmare. Not clean. Very small for 3 beds in that room. No places for any stuff or even a chair to sit but on the bed. Only rain shower with no hanging shower in the bathroom.If you don't want to get your hair wet you have to bend your head out of the way the whole time. Only good thing is good location.
