Our visit to Guu Fusion left us with mixed feelings. The Banana Roti, featuring chocolate and cheese, failed to live up to expectations. On a brighter note, the Gu Coffee we ordered was a redeeming factor. Rich and satisfying, it showcased the establishment's capability to deliver on certain fronts.

In Chiang Mai, a city full of exotic and friendly atmosphere, I had expected every shop to bring me a spring breeze experience. However, my experience at Guu Fusion Roti & Tea left me deeply disappointed and dissatisfied.

When I stepped into the restaurant, I was expecting a pleasant dining experience. However, I was greatly disappointed by the performance of the staff. In the process of communicating with them, I clearly felt the unfriendly attitude towards Chinese tourists. Their blank faces, cold responses and even, at some points, their disgust made me feel uncomfortable. As a Chinese tourist, the warmth and respect I should have enjoyed in a foreign country seemed like an extravagant hope here.

What is even more unacceptable is that when white foreigners come to ask for something, the attitude of the staff is completely different. They were smiling and warm, as if they were new people. This obvious difference in service attitude makes me deeply feel the existence of discrimination. As consumers, we deserve equal and fair service, but at Guu Fusion Roti & Tea, this fundamental right has been ruthlessly denied.

Looking back on the other places I visited in Chiang Mai, most Thais showed a friendly and humble attitude, which gave me a pretty good impression of the Thai people as a whole. However, the performance of Guu Fusion Roti & Tea's staff is like a dull current in a clear stream, which makes people feel cold.

We had breakfast at Guu Roti Fusion in Chiang Mai and it was a pleasant experience. We started with the crispy banana roti with whipped cream, which was delightfully light and perfectly crispy. The whipped cream tasted fresh, adding a nice contrast to the sweetness of the bananas. While the banana roti with chocolate was enjoyable, we've had better versions from street food carts.

The American coffee was satisfying, providing a good start to the day. Lavater tried the Strawberry tea lychee soda, which was an interesting and refreshing drink. The service was decent, though not particularly standout. The ambiance of the place was quite nice, creating a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere for enjoying breakfast.
