N.T. Lanta Resort — Hotel in Ko Lanta Yai

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 3 nights and on the last day when we were due to check out we left our bungalow to go for a quick lunch (only gone 20 min)to the restaurant about 200 meters away and unfortunately that was the only time during our stay that we left our bag with our wallet unlocked, which was so stupid believe me we are kicking ourselves now for letting our guard down. When we returned we left got our stuff and left the resort. When we went to make our next purchase we realized that 12,000 baht (500 Canadian dollars!) was gone and our bag had been rifled thru, passport was out of it's case and other stuff moved around. This could only have happened during that short 20 minutes. The cleaners saw us leave our bungalow and our bungalow was locked and no forced entry so they had to have had a key. I would NOT recommend this hotel, when we brought this to the attention of the hotel they just denied it. We are disgusted with this place and the fact that they think tourists are just money bags to steal from. Thailand's main industry is tourism, they shouldn't be treating the people who bring so much into their economy like this. We worked hard for that money and had to completely change our travel plans and fly home early because of this. My impression of Thailand is tainted after this happening and hearing from other tourists about thefts that have happened to them. Great hidden gem on Long Beach. I initially got a great deal online and booked for 6 days, but loved it so much extended for another 5.

Best value on this side of the island. Spacious bungalow with a massive bed set amongst 8 other matching bungalows around a decent sized and clean pool area. Only six sun loungers, but for most of my stay there was no issue getting one when I fancied some pool time.

Air con is very cold, but a little bit loud, but it didn’t really bother me.

WiFi is a little hit and miss, they have a couple of routers to connect to, but it did drop out a couple of times or ran a little laggy. Was able to stream Netflix for the most part though.

Three plug sockets in the room, one spare by the tv and two on the wall behind the beds.

The power in the shower isn’t overly strong, but it gets the job done :)

There is quite a bit of wildlife in the trees, so some bird noises can be a little loud in the morning, but after a few days I didn’t notice it.

Staff was very pleasant and always had a smile on their face, and very helpful carrying bags and taking care of every request.

Fresh bottled water was delivered every morning, and room was cleaned on request at any day.

Location is great, very peaceful in a quiet area, but only a couple minutes either side to the beach or the main road with shops and restaurants.

Candy and ice cream are the resident staff dogs, and even they always had a smile...

I stayed here with a mate , in a twin bed a/ c bungalow .It had great hot shower , tv with english channels , small fridge , private balcony and outdoor seating area .|The room was really clean , beds supercomfortable , bedding was clean , towels changed every few days , kettle with tea coffee provided , and bottled water daily .Everything in the room made this a really comfortable , and relaxing week .|We did find the wifi a bit weak , but our bungalow was a bit far from reception where wifi was strong .|The pool area and pool was really clean , and it was great to have the pool to cool off in , on the hot afternoons .|The plants and landscaping around the whole resort was really well done , with lots of flowering plants and shrubs which were really well cared for .|The Manager Pom was a nice guy and really helpful ( he let us keep our passports and valuables in the office safe )and the housekeeping ladies kept the room really clean and were always cheerful to us .|My only suggestion would be to install some more lights , down the main drive from the road .At night time it was a bit dark walking down this way after your evening meal .|Overall this was a great choice on long beach , i hope to be back...
