Standard or perhaps slightly better then standard Thai restaurant. Large tables, spacious seating and space between tables. The only thing is that the tables are relatively low, which can result in your thigh touching the underside. The condiments on the table, next to the silverware box containing your forks and spoons, is generously filled with hot sauce, fish sauce with chili, salt, pepper, vinegar, powdered chili, sugar, ketchup and what not. But you won't need many of those, the food being well flavored. It does, however, severely lack chili, believe it or not. I took a generous spoon of chili powder and some chilies from the fish sauce to bring my green curry to an acceptable yet relatively low heat level. No eggplant buds (the little balls that look like big peas) in the green curry, but delicious nonetheless. Great chicken cashew dish for my no spice girl and surprise, the "deep fried shrimp" were actually coconut shrimp. They were the exact same as you'd get in the USA, a nice fresh shrimp in coconut batter, fried golden and served with sweet chili sauce. Crunchy, nutty and sweet. 6 pieces for $3.50. The diet will have to wait... Friendly service by a young woman. Dishes were brought straight from the kitchen by the cook, a friendly young man. Be advised that the coconut shrimp took longer to make, as you'd expect, given that here, they don't come from the freezer but need peeling and deveining, then battering and frying so having them as a starter, as you'd probably like, will require pointing that out to the waitress as otherwise, you'll just get served whenever the dish is ready, as everywhere else in the country. The Thai iced tea was delicious, yet slightly too sweet, like something they'd serve in the USA. The coconut shake, however, was lacking in sweetness. I've had various degrees of sweetness in these beverages over the past weeks here and no two establishments...
Read moreWhatever was claimed in the other review doesn't change the fact that the food is amazing and the prices are great. This place is a hidden gem. 50 baht for a fruit shake and 60 baht for a Pad Thai is a real bargain, and the Pad Thai was one of the better I've had! Although no one working here seems to be in a hurry, it adds to the atmosphere - they're lovely, friendly people that serve great food at great prices and the decorations even makes it a...
Read moreTasty food at reasonable prices. Large portions. The menu mainly consists of Thai classics. I'm not sure if it's a "convenience" for tourists or local taste, but the dishes are practically devoid of spiciness. In my opinion, this takes away from Thai cuisine charm - especially curry, tom yum, and tom kha. That's why I recommend asking for the "spicy" version when ordering.Even with such a comment, the spiciness is symbolic, but the...
