Saikaew Boutique Hotel — Hotel in Ko Samet

Pros: 1. Excellent location (15 mins walking from Koh samet pier). 2. Direct to the beach. Cons: Beware!!!!! NO elevator/ Lift in the hotel and my room was in 4th floor and with HEAVY LUGGAGEs it is very stressful. Also for older people it's really not easy since the steps on the stairs are very high , don't know why they built it like that. With luggage it will be very stressful. Also I found really frustrating that no one from the hotel helps to carry my luggages or at least didn't ask to offer help, just think of someone has 3 or 4 luggages and they at least offer some help since their stairs are not comfortable to climb. They don't offer breakfast with the hotel and need to go to a separate restaurant. No pool or gym. Conclusion: I will not choose the hotel next time only because of the high stairs or, not having any lift/elevator because every time going and coming back from 4th floor...

Everything was Perfect Except for the breakfast. Family room with private terrace was spacious and so nice to sit in the covered terrace during rainstorms. Air con was PLENTY cool. The service was always so friendly and accommodating. Thai dinner was great. But the included breakfast was mediocre AT BEST. EITHER AS The EXTREMELY LIMITED SET MENU(1western set or 1asian set-Which was disappointing because on the paid menu there we're soooo many more selections). I got the family suite sea view. Wow what an amazing view on your very large private patio. There are only two of these rooms and I can’t speak for the views of the other rooms. But the fourth floor (no elevator so not wheelchair friendly) views are insane. The hotel is beachfront (restaurant in between beach and hotel lobby). Couches on the covered patio perfect for morning coffee while you watch the ocean and hear the waves. The hotel staff were very nice and were always smiling and helpful. No pool in the hotel but you’re 10 meters from the sand while in the lobby so the beach...
