Jump at Sea — Restaurant in Ko Samet

Jump at Sea, a delightful café on Koh Samet, is conveniently located near the beach. It was so close to my accommodation that I could even use the hotel’s Wi-Fi. I tried all their croissants, two types of breakfast (one with eggs and one with fruits), and their coffee, which was exceptionally good – the best I’ve had in a long time.

The service at Jump at Sea is outstanding. They stayed open 20 minutes past closing just for me, frequently checked if everything was alright, and even asked about my mood. Despite the place being crowded, they found a spot for me. The service alone is worth the visit. I also noticed the owner or manager, who was extremely pleasant.

The café has a cozy ambiance with charming figurines and pleasant music. It was impeccably clean. Prices were quite standard, around 100 baht for a medium-sized coffee, though I would gladly pay 200 baht for such a fantastic coffee. The service, the delicious food, and the reasonable prices make this place a gem.

There is nothing I didn’t like about this café. I highly recommend it...

😑 Very disappointing. The service and respect for customers were seriously lacking.

I visited this place twice but didn't feel welcome either time. On the first day, one of the female staff came across as rude, though I gave the benefit of the doubt.

On the second visit, I ordered french toast with maple syrup but was served a cheese sandwich instead. When I politely pointed out the mistake, the same staff responded rudely and questioned my English ("I don't understand your English") something I’ve never experienced despite living in English speaking countries. I actually repeated my order twice when billing.

As a customer, I felt insulted in front of others. I spent 500 THB each day and would’ve gladly paid for the mistake if it had been politely explained and proven to be mine.

If you believe the customers are not capable of communicating clearly, you should display the order before payment and provide printed order detail.

Anyway, we left without eating, as it was clear we hadn’t been treated...

Jump at Sea Coffee is truly a gem along the beach promenade – a chic little café that engages all the senses. The well-maintained ambiance and thoughtful design create an inviting environment, perfect for relaxation. The coffee here isn't just good; it's outstanding, and paired with a slice of their delightful chocolate cake, the visit becomes a true indulgence.

The prices are more than reasonable, aligning seamlessly with the quality of the offered food and beverages. The staff deserves special commendation for their helpfulness and friendly demeanor, enhancing the overall experience.

All in all, Jump at Sea Coffee is a place one frequents not just for its charming atmosphere and great taste but also for the warm ambiance and excellent service. Without a doubt, I look forward to returning and spending more laid-back hours in this...
