Buddies — Restaurant in Ko Samet

Earlier tonight I had a pizza. Just like the menu sad, it would take time before it would be done. I thought great, it takes time it's a good sign!

I got my pizza after my girlfriend and my friend was already done with their food (my friends hamburger plate won't win any prizes btw)

My pizza reminded me a lot about frozen pizza from back home. I wonder what Gordon would say... Back home in Sweden I would be disappointed if a pizza for more than 100 Sek would look like this. 300 baht + service charge.

How anyone can recommend this place is a mystery. Maybe they had bad experience in other restaurants / eateries? I had far better food in eatery in Koh Samet for 70 - 130 baht.

To top of the back experience a bit more, the oilcloth of the table was very dirty! The wetness from my beer bottle did easily release dirt...

Been coming here for years. Not for the food mostly but for the placement, atmosphere, service is more than fair.

It’s placed on the center of the beach where there is most action and busy.

Food is average and above. It does the job and I once had new year here which was fun.

They served me a piña colada cocktail but it was very bad and mostly tasted of vodka or bad rum. I told them in a nice way. The bill came and they charged for it. I complained nicely and they actually had such good service that they deducted all my drinks and water as an apology. That’s good service and makes me want to come again. Keep it up. 😊

Reportedly one of the best seafood restaurants on the island... I am not one who loves to criticise over small things but this place was distinctly average. The waitress was so miserable all throughout that had it not been for the compulsory 10% tip I would not have left anything. The food was OK but overpriced for what seemed like a microwaved bit of salmon and stale potato whacked on top of a limp bit of lettuce.
