City Hotel — Hotel in Krabi Province

Location directly in front of this hotel is krabi food market. Even in the afternoon, there is already fruits and food stall open behind this hotel is the infamous krabi night market. No shortcut though. You have to go around the block if you arrive in the morning, the maharaj morning market is nearby quite a few halal stalls and restaurant surrounding this hotel 7e is right beside this hotel

Hotel very modern looking and spacious lobby. But no aircond there is elevator but there is still a few steps of stairs to go to the room

Hotel room very modern, simple looking they push together 2 single beds there is a electrical socket in between two beds ( but since my beds we pushed together, it is now in a weird position, on top of my head) at least they provided 4 pillows ( i only got 2 at aonang goodwill resort) the sink is outside of the washroom. Hope the management would consider putting a separate soap at the sink lots of tv channels like HBO, fox movies etc most reviews says the bed is hard, but mine was ok window is facing the night market. So around 5pm, the music will start. It was fine for me, i even enjoy singing to the music. If you come with infants, maybe request a room on the opposite side no toothbrush, so bring your own there is a small refrigerator, but no safety box

Hotel service you can leave you luggages at the hotel prior to check in & after checkout. But there is no specific room for it. It would just be in the lobby. So bring your valuables with you check in at 2pm means 2pm. Not even 5 minutes earlier. I believe because there were a lot of people waiting in the lobby to check in. So they had to be a bit strict. tips: collect all guests passport when you want to check in because they will photocopy it

There are taxi drivers in front of the hotel. They would ask you where you wanna go. We booked one going to the airport at 6am for the next day. For only 300 baht per taxi. And you pay at the airport, not during the verbal booking.

If you go to tour booth, they offer 350 baht. The city hotel front desk offer us 400 baht. If you book online at a company, it would be 500 baht! So...

A hotel in operation since 1991 and located right opposite the Krabi City Night Market and the weekend night market is behind it. Front desk staff speak some English to converse. Rooms are clean with ensuite bathroom and toilet. Do take note that the wash basin in some rooms are not in the bathroom cum toilet. This can be good and bad depending on how you look at it. If you are not looking and do not mind a clean room to rest and refresh, it is a good hotel to be staying in, in the city centre. There are plenty of food outlets and a shopping mall right next to it including a 7 Eleven convenience store. There are a few nearby Thai Chinese and halal dim sum non air-conditioned restaurants nearby. The Krabi City night market is also open in the day time with two reasonably and cheaper Thai food restaurants and plenty of fruit stalls. Fruits available depend of course on the season. For those who prefer halal food, there is a halal Thai food restaurant opposite the entrance of the hotel. Overall, prices in the city would be cheaper than at Ao Nang beach area where there are lots of tourists. Exchange rates of foreign currency will be comparable to those at Ao Nang beach and the Krabi Money foreign currency Exchange counters offer what I would consider to be good rates of exchange. As for sea activities tour counters, there are more at Ao Nang than in the city centre areas as all the tour counters are located along the road at Ao Nang than the more dispersed city centre. However staying at the city centre allows you to take a stroll along the river promenade which you will not get to do at Ao Nang. A nice place to holiday, relax, eat and enjoy sea activities or just while the time away.
