We explored the menu quite extensively so might be a long review.
Started with a double espresso and a double espresso macchiato. The taste was good but the double espresso looked very similar to a single espresso. We questioned the amount with the owner and then proceeded to order another double... which was much more like a proper double than the first.
The pineapple thai basil juice was INCREDIBLE. Super refreshing and comes in a very tall glass. The juice lasted the entire meal. Also got a beet, pineapple, apple and lemon juice (forget the name on the menu). This was a smaller juice and tasted a bit too sweet for the ingredients. Possibly used additional sweetener. I love my fresh juice so this was a bit disappointing.
Got the Super Avocado which was definitely the most disappointing part of the meal. Everything about it was just average. Very bland even with extra salt, pepper and tabasco sauce. (First place in Thailand I have seen tabasco sauce thought!) the bread was not sourdough and was a but soggy. Everything on the menu looks so good, but unfortunately looks can deceive.
We also got the berry smoothie bowl. The portion size was good and came in a very cool bowl. The smoothie bowl was good. Not great, but not bad. The nuts and granola were the best part and the amount they give is just right for the amount of smoothie.
The best part of the meal was the Massaman Roti that we got at the end. They serve with a whole roasted garlic clove that goes perfectly with the roti. The Massaman was amazing. Perfect savory dish to make up for the blandness of the avocado toast.
Recommend to come a but early if you want breakfast. I originally wanted the chia pudding, which they had run out of by 11am, and the pancakes that they apparently stop serving by 11. The pancakes are the only thing on the menu that are STRICTLY for breakfast.
A group next to us got pad thai and fried rice which smelled really nice. Seems like the avocado toast was a western type dish that they added to the menu to attract western travelers instead of having it on the menu because they perfected the dish. The local food seems to be the...
Read moreThis is likely the most expensive restaurant in the area. The food is great and well prepared but the service and cleanliness is very subpar. With the exception on Mim we were given very poor service and not even acknowledged when we arrived to a mostly empty restaurant. The bathroom is so dirty I watched a few people ‘nope’ out on it. The toilet and sink and unsealed so the floor floods when used. This appears to be an issue that’s gone on for awhile based on the rot and mold. My wife and I got two standard breakfasts and coffee and paid about 800thb. An example of what you will pay here is a cappuccino for 90thb. Some of the other westernized restaurants in the area offer the coffee at 60thb for comparison. That said, it’s well made and they have a diverse menu to chose from. I just think at this price point the staff should be more friendly and the bathroom should be usable. With these issues overlooked for so long I hate to think of what the kitchen...
