We’ve been visiting this museum for over 10 years, going once every three months, so we're familiar with it. However, our recent visit left us disappointed. Despite our children attending school in Krabi (written is free in front of the door), we were still charged the foreigner rate for them – what should have been a 200 baht fee for two adults and two kids ended up costing us 400 baht.

While the museum itself is good, it doesn’t really justify the price, especially as 90% of the exhibits remain unchanged over the years, and maintenance is noticeably lacking. The air conditioning is often turned off, which makes it uncomfortable, and it's closed on Sundays, the one day most people have free to visit.

Overall, I'd recommend it if you're stuck indoors on a rainy day, but otherwise, it’s not worth a...

Entrance fee for 200bht. I'm not sure if I can say it was worthy cuz it's like, museum but empty. However, since there's no place that you can learn about history of Krabi city, this is kind of only place that you can learn about history of Krabi.

In old days, Krabi was an important route for beads tradings and they had their own bead as well. It's not sure if they were producing by themselves but there are some beads that only found in Krabi.

You can see what people in old days loved and how Krabi was a point for trading such luxuries.

They only accept cash so I couldn't purchase souvenirs. You need to prepare luke thousands of bht if you are interested in beads.

Their art exhibition was not something special. And you can see how beads are produced. Mostly take a hour to...

This Art Gallery is something interesting place. Very small gallery but presentation of history about beads trade and manufacture in the Andaman region since prehistoric times in Thailand. Display is so nice to see and all informations displayed with sub tittles. Here I met delightful young lady who is working curator for this Gallery. She took us to inside showed us very nicely and explained everything. She is very friendly and well educated.

With this Gallery a Souvenir shop is attached. So many products are available. Worth a visit! Very educative...

Better than we expected in such a small town. Its free too! There is one rotating exhibition room and 3 floors of the permanent ones. The must see room is the second floor of the exhibition building. It's full of pieces from Thai national artists. *this national artist thing is an award giving to the most respected artists each year.* the sculpture of a man playing a flute is there now. Also a piece from Thawan duchanee, who built the black house. Wonderful place. It is a bit too hot since they don't turn on the air con in most rooms. But totally do recommend!

it’s way bigger than other cities cultural center. they have variety of beads artworks and they were all beautiful , worth visiting. however, I do not recommend this as a big part of your Krabi travel itinerary. if you are interested in Andaman culture, and have enough time to visit and look around, you’ll enjoy this place. it took me less than an hour to look around all exhibitions. boat cafe in front of museum didn’t opened.
