P. S. My review is a long one as i have shared all minute details in it. Please take time to read to avoid the experience I and my group of friends went through.
I have been to phuket last week and had my stay at this hotel. I have read the reviews of the hotel which turned out to be good but unfortunately the stay in this hotel turned out to be the most pathetic experience of our entire trip in Thailand. Firstly I requested for an iron to make my clothes and the reception people told me sorry we couldn't provide the same and asked me to go out and send my clothes to some local nearby laundry for the service. I mean who does that to the guests that too international guests. Secondly during our check out we had to catch a early morning flight to Bangkok and hence rushed at 5 in the morning to make the check outs. The guy at the lobby sent his staff to check our rooms to find all the valuables in place only to our utter surprise he accused us of a missing bathroom towel from one of the two rooms we booked and he said he would deduct 500bhatt out of the 1000bhatt security deposit we kept at the time of check in due to the missing towel. We had an argument then at the early morning standing in the lobby and he used derogatory words and accused us of stealing the towel. I finally went back to my room and to my utter surprise the towels were all lying in the bed and only due to utter carelessness of the staff he couldn't find the same. After they returned us our security money and dint even apologized for their disgusting behaivour. Thirdly my roommate had kept her purse in the room to go to the beach while the two days stay and she was carrying some 102 dollars in her bag. After we traveled from phuket to bangkok she checked her bag in Bangkok to find out that 100 dollars are stolen and only 2dollars are left. She was sure of the fact that Meir Jarr staffs had stolen the money from her purse while she kept it in the room.
We had a, 6nights vacations in krabi phuket Bangkok and all went good except the series of bad experiences we had in Meir Jarr hotel in phuket. I wish we had chosen a different property for the stay and regret the stay in this particular hotel.
I strongly recommend all the people who are looking for a trip to phuket please dont prefer Meir Jarr for your stay. Search for other options and...
Read moreSituated in the hub of Patong Mei Jarr makes exploring Patong Beach very easy. However the hotel itself is on a decline. The beds aren’t comfortable, the furniture is old and even the plastic chairs on the balcony aren’t clean. The WiFi is problematic, the owners need to take responsibility for a lot.The highlightsFRONT DESK AND SERVICE STAFF!These are the people keeping this hotel afloat! They go over and beyond to meet the requirements of guests who are constantly angry because of one thing or another. I spent time at receptions watching them in action. Thai people are always the highlight of my Thailand trips and the reason I’ll always return to Phuket. Nicky from front desk added to my Thai people treasure! A beautiful soul in and out. She was kind throughout our stay, I watched her being pulled from all directions and she kept her poise and smile. With limited facilities she made my daughter’s birthday beautiful with her kindness. She is a treasure, I hope the owners of the hotel spend even one day watching what she has to deal with and improve the amenities of the hotel to help the working lives of their staff! The views from the rooftop pool are amazing but the pool needs extra cleaning, it was sandy even the kids didn’t want to use it which is a bummer because they love swimming.I’ll always return to Patong, but probably not to this hotel unless they do some major renovations. The breakfast is mid, it’s not a buffet you can get better and cheaper a...
Read moreThe hotel itself is cheap but very low quality. The pictures look really good on Google and booking dot com.
Almost everything is worn down. Tiles on the floor are broken. Walls are not badly repainted and not clean. Room service (cleaning staff) is humble and friendly. Security guy is a nice man who barley speaks English but tries hard.
But he kicks you out of the poolarea at 11pm altough only the pool closes at 11pm.
The pool area is okay but the sunbeds and seats are worn down and actuall, hurt you if you sit down.
The adverstiment shows a pool bar or Hotelbar. Sadly both don't exist or haven't been up and running at our trip.
Getting a room on the street side should be forbidden, it's extremely loud and the whole room vibrates like crazy the moment a music bus drives by and there are plenty of them trough the night.
In the end we had to pay for a long drinking glass and a fricken spoon at checkout because they haven't been restocked after they disappeared one day from our room.
Spend a little more guys, ur...
