Well where do i start,
I was staying in Pattaya for some dental work and had to find another hotel to stay for 14 nights since i stayed here 4 years ago i thought i would pop in and see them they had a sign outyside saying promotion 799 baht so i went in and asked for a price and the receptionist quoted me 1200 baht per night i asked about promotion and she said no rooms left at that price so i went ontpo Agoda mobile website and got a price of a superior room for 620 baht i showed her and she said we cannot do it i will need to book through Agoda so i did.( THE HOTEL WAS EMPTY).
On check in as i booked for 2 people they would only give me 1 room key and wanted 500 baht deposit not sure why its a plastic card. i later complained about the shower and basin not draining and the smell of sewage like smell and they said it is what it is, 7 ndays later i asked about the second key and she said in a very rude OK take it, upon checkout i went to ask about checkout time and there was a sign saying 12pm i then asked for late checkout and she said 2pm is ok, i went back at 1.30pm and asked about how much extra for a 5pm checkout and she said 1200 baht i said i only paid 620 baht per day OMG i said she then started crying and screaming and said her boss with take money from wages i said may i speak to the boss she refused so i said ok i will checkout at 2pm so i packed my bags and was the reception by 1.50pm she was serving other and by the time she served me it was 2.10pm and said i owed 1200 baht becasue i went over 2pm i said i have been waiting inline for 20 minutes she said not her fault its mine as she owed me 500 baht for the card deposit she said she cannot give it back beacuse i was over time she then said that 12pm is checkout and dont offer late checkout lies lies lies WILL NEVER BE BACK TO THIS PLACE...
Read moreI was charged 300 baht deducted from my deposit because I was late 50 minutes during check-out. Check-out was 12.00pm and I checked-out at 12.50pm. I was not previously warned that I would be charged that amount for late check-out. I ignore if that is an unwritten rule or if it was the reception manager who pocketed that cash since I received no receipt for that. Or maybe they are trying to educate nasty tourist who, omg, dare to check out late 50 minutes? It certainly felt like a rip-off. To add insult, I was denied to use the gym right after check-out, because as the reception manager said “I had already checked-out”. Just to mention, the gym is just a glass wall accross the reception. Maybe they wanted me to leave soon so I don’t complain about the over charge? I have been to many hotels in Thailand and I always use the gym on the same day I am leaving. What is the harm on that? Such a nazi-style in applying the rules is totally disregardless of the customer experience to say in a light way. It certainly made me angry and left a bitter after-taste that affected badly my ultimate perception of the place. If it is the reception manager who pocketed the money I heartfully hope she gets fired. And if they wanted to educate me they certainly succedded: next time I will check-out on time…in another hotel. To summarize, it is all smiles until you thread on trap and then they find a perfect excuse to charge you money. Imagine for example if accidentally spill a drink on the mattress: 3.000 baht. Or you break a light bulb: 5.000 baht. I understand they have a low salary but they seem to be greedy creatures waiting for the chance to over charge. Which makes me worry about the safety of my belongings in the...
