Cons: I will start with the cons of this hostel because all I could remember is bad experience at this hostel. This hostel front desk is the same as the bar's cash register at the first floor (we enter the hostel through the bar's door). We were asked to show our booking confirmation and passport, and asked whether we have paid it on not. So we just say 'yes' and the staff immediately gave us the key (without even checking if we really have paid or no). The first night, the bar downstairs is really loud with music/cheering until pass midnight, which is uncomfortable even for us at 3rd floor. The next day we're going out early to catch our early morning flight, the same staff at the front desk ask for our key (they didn't ask us if we're checking out or not). So we give the key thinking that it was the hostel policy to give the key if we want to go out. Then we go back to hostel late at night (it was very crowded at the bar). At the front desk, we were asked our booking and passport again as if it was our first time check in (it was clearly they didn't remember their guests). And they didn't have our yesterday's check in data stored and said that our room already used by other guests! (it was clearly they didn't check our booking confirmation said it was for 2 nights). So we were moved to another room, and our luggage stored at the locker can't be found, because it was locked by the new guest. And all of my things at the bed already moved to somewhere else. Fortunately our luggage and things at the bed are all in good condition, it would be worse if they throw it all out. During this time we were waiting like almost an hour. Totally bad experience during our tired time after long journey.||||Pros: With all the cons I mentioned above, actually this hostel is a very nice budget hostel. The common area is clean and good. The bed room also clean and good with the full curtain which is good if you want some privacy. The share bath room also clean and good with the amenities (shared soap & shampoo). The wifi is great with the high speed connection. And one thing I like about this hostel room is the locker for each guest. It was bigger than any dorm's locker I have tried, so we can stored our luggage easily and lots of space to store things.||||Suggestion: the staff seems can't focus to doing hostel's front desk and bar's cash register at the same time. And with the loud music and cheering at bar it become harder for the staff to hear what the guest said. It might be better to separate the hostel's front desk (and separate the staff if possible) from the bar for a...
Read moreI made a booking via booking.com and it looked good on their website but when i arrived, well i really wanted to just leave straight away. I turned up and it's an Italian pizza restaurant with rooms out the back but you have to walk through the restaurant to get to the room. The service from the man who checked me in was terrible, he looked like he couldn't of cared less about me. Was very vague when I said i had a booking. It was all very uncomfortable, anyway i went to the dorm room which consists of 2 bunk beds & a bathroom. I must admit the bed were comfortable to sleep on which was the only thing to me that was good about this place. There was no hot water for showering and the cold water just dribbled out of the shower head. I had to actually use the toilet water gun often found in asian toilets to wash myself with. I'm assuming the water comes from the same pipes?? That's how bad the shower pressure was. Because the toilets to the restaurant were down the end of the corridor where the rooms are, during the evening i could hear the owner/manager or some staff talking to their Thai friends & then open the dorm room door to show them i guess and then leave. It was really creepy. I just pretended i was asleep. I felt like they don't care about their paying guests at all. Only other good thing is that it's very close to the airport. I did see a brand new place about 15 metres down the road on the opposite side of the road for the same price which looked great. Unlucky for me that aren't listed on...
Read moreDANGEROUS for young female travellers. We arrived late at night after our flight and were checked in by 2 lovely ladies. We spent a few hours on wifi booking holiday stuff sat in a communal area for better internet connection. We went to bed around 1am but then a guy who worked there tried to break in at 4am while we were still asleep. He opened the lock that needed a key so I assume he worked there but I had put the safety on aswell. My friend heard him banging against the door to get through the safety and thought it was one of the women so opened the door. This guy held up his ipad to show her all these explicit images and when she said no he tried to forcefully enter the room. I was asleep until I heard her shoving him out the door and shouting at him. She couldn't sleep after that, she was terrified but we couldn't leave at that time either. When I checked out I couldn't find anyone except a young man who spoke so little english he didn't understand I wanted to speak to the ladies who checked me in or that I had a serious complaint. He wouldn't find me someone else to talk to and I looked myself around the property but couldn't see anyone around. We didn't encourage this behaviour at all, we had only spoken amongst one another about...
