We stayed two night in this resort and had a good time. The location of the resort is very good. It's next to the beach and the restaurants. The layout of the resort is also very nice. It's one big well maintained garden. The garden has nice old trees and beautifull plants. The swimming pools are also nice.
Then the more critical notes. This resort sells their hotel rooms at premium prices which are considered at the higher range if you compare it to similar hotels in thailand. So because of this price a high level of maintenance and service is required.
Is it clean? Well the rooms are nice and the basics are clean. But if you look more closely there are stains on the wall and the shower is calcified. The doors in the room needs some paint and the balcony needs a good power wash. Also in general you see some lack in maintenance like dirty elivator doors
Is the service good? Well we don't care much about service. And ofcourse the hotel employees are friendly and willingly to help. But the general feeling is that the team spirit has gone. Only the cleaning ladies seem to have fun. We came into the breakfast room and the employees seemed bored. You don't have to be happy and jumpy. But as a holiday resort you are selling happiness and laughter. Your employees should reflect that thought.
Is the breakfast good? They ask 500 baht for a breakfast and for this money you can get a better breakfast in the restaurants next to the hotel. We ate at 7:00 while everything was still fresh but it wasn't a nice breakfast. The coffee wasn't hot enough. The fruit juice wasnt real juice but a fruit tasting sugar drink. The real fruit wasn't covered with a lit so fruit flies were sitting on top of it ... Etc etc etc not to be recommended
Other things that we noticed. There used to be a bar at the swimming pool, but they closed it. Also the toilets next to the swimming pool were closed. And what do children do if the toilet next to the pool is closed ... ?
In general a nice hotel but it just doesn't meet the requirements for this high...
Read moreAVOID AVOID AVOID ||After visiting various places around Thailand this was our first stop before flying home. A family of 6 (4 adults and 2 children) we arrived and presented the reception staff with our booking confirmation details. They couldn’t find our booking. My husband explained that he also called a couple of days ago to check ahead (provided phone call evidence) that everything was ok with the booking and they confirmed it was. None of this mattered we were told you don’t have a booking here and that was that. The hotel is also full. ||Staff members continued to serve other customers around us and In-between conversations we were trying to have to sort out the booking. Now I get that errors can occur with booking systems. However to completely disregard a family who have everything they need to prove their booking and leave them to find somewhere else just like that without even an apology is disgraceful customer service. The staff should be ashamed of their conduct. Reception is always your first impression of a new hotel and we are thankful for our escape here as I can only imagine how bad the rest of the hotel must have been like! ||I can only assume that with the hotel being full they cancelled our booking which has been in place for more than 6 months via Agoda at a very good price in order to overcharge late bookers staying at this hotel at the most recent prices which were over inflated. ||We managed to book in to the Dewa hotel which was a pleasant upgrade for the same price compared to this hotel. Highly recommend. A lovely friendly welcome, customer service was 5 star! Breakfast was also a phenomenal (I can see from reviews that breakfast at this resort is some sort of a rat race) Avoid the Nai Yang beach resort and spa...
Read moreA very pleasant resort with well maintained grounds and great facilities. One drawback straight off the cuff is that there is no gymnasium. This is a pity, but not a huge inconvenience. The rooms, I stayed here twice on my trip and the first room I had was in a newer building and the room was great, modern, very cold AC, spacious and welcoming. Big bed and clean bathroom. The second room I had was older but still perfectly adequate, spacious, and comfortable. I didn't have any trouble sleeping in either room. Several pools on the grounds plus a beach literally across the road make this a great place to just relax and chill, something I did on the daily. As big a resort as it is, it never felt crowded. It's conveniently located near the airport and all the minor conveniences you need of minimarts etc are at your doorstep. There are plenty of restaurants, food stalls, bars, and other things right within walking distance. Fresh fruit right on the beach front was fantastic. Pricing is decent for what you get. It is Phuket, after all, so they do charge more than you might expect for a South East Asian beach destination. I'd say the wealthy Russian tourists that travel there en masse have altered the economy a fair bit. I would absolutely stay here again, friendly staff members all around, all eager to wish you a pleasant day. Thank you for making my...
