We’ve been visiting Phuket for breaks from BKK since before covid & come to really appreciate Naiyang Beach. We view it as the village time passed by on Phuket. Not crowded, little traffic because the road into the village is a dead end, stunning beach, natural tree cover for shade, no rocks or dead coral in the water & very little but trees can be seen from the beach.
It’s also close to the airport, which we really appreciate. We regularly walk along the beach to up near the airport to eat, but there is minimal noise as the flight paths aren’t over Naiyang village.
We’ve also increasingly chosen to stay at The Title. We’ve stayed at others, newer and older, cheaper and dearer. Title is low rise, nicely laid out with good gardens and basically a pool for each building. Like many pools in Thailand, they’re 1.1 mtrs deep. I lap swim and any time of day or evening I’ll have the choice of a 20-25 mtrs pool to myself for freestyle. The gym has an ok range of gear but is small, though it’s generally empty or only has one or two other people. FYI, the Juristic office (building management) is next to the gym. We’ve found them very helpful for parcel delivery and some maintenance matters, but it’s not a tourist information or apartment rental service.
The Title is a six or seven minute stroll to the beach from the front gate. Maps says six. The lane to the beach is flat and mostly shaded. It ends at the wonderful street food area, shaded by trees and with tables looking out over the ocean. Motorcycles use the lane as well so keep an eye on your kids, but we feel safe using it.
Title is popular with young families and older couples. Personally we enjoy seeing the children, but they and their noise are not intrusive and can be easily avoided. Work on the Halo near The Title finished long ago and they are separate developments that don’t share facilities.
** Work has recently commenced on land between Halo and The Title. Be aware of this if renting a room in either development. The majority of rooms in both will be unaffected by noise or view.
For the sake of openness, after renting at The Title over the last five years or more, recently we bought a single apartment for...
Read moreDisappointed with some aspects of our stay here apartment clean and tidy but had some issues no kettle ,no toaster, washing machine out on the balcony had a mind of it's own it was noisy and shaked looked as if it wanted to jump off the balcony at times .clothes airer paint peeling and rusty . We stayed for 23 nights when inquired when towel and bedding was changed we were told every 7 days if you wanted it done sooner it was 300 baht ours was done once and then on the wrong day .the residence has 5 pools as advertised 4 for adults and all 1 pool situated on the roof which stated in the advert is for adults only .so we enquired like other guests when families with small children came to use the pool we were told they can use it if accompanied by an adult .this is total contradictory to what is advertised also the sign at the pool on the roof quite clearly states no one under the age of 15 years allowed to use the pool so be aware of this if you want to book here and expect a quite adult only pool . The other 4 pools are large and family friendly .there is no reception just an area with vending machines opposite the main entrance is a supermarket .the gym is situated in the same building as the roof pool .there is parking on site .the walk to the beach takes about 15 minutes beware the walk is through a lane between two hotels and is used by locals and tourist as on motorbikes as a short cut day and night it's quite narrow if you have small children take care many slow down to pass but others don't We have put staying here down to experience probably will not return we will book elsewhere at Naiyang near the...
Read moreA mass of close set condos (it looks like around 700/750 at the moment) with a huge construction project underway on its land at the back promising to swell the populous by another thousand or so. Mostly populated by Russians, seemingly all with at least 2 small children. I'm guessing that all Russian children are this arrogant and noisy. Screams from morning to night. A very noisy place. The pools are all very shallow, presumably they knew how many kids would be coming. All pools extremely deficient in sun loungers The location is a long way from the beach - accessible via a long and very hot walk down a small alley that is frequented by motorbikes as a short cut. Bear in mind that if you are not in Block A there is an additional walk inside the complex of up to 500m. The shops and restaurants immediately outside are poorly run and have been adversely affected by the mannerisms of the the Russians who swamp them. The quality and comfort of the apartments (noise from screaming kids asislde) is poor. They are small and unless you are wise enough to book a double balcony/bedroom unit they are the size of shoe boxes. The single balconies are cramped and filled by the air conditioning compressors and washing machine - not fit for sitting on. The designers significantly underestimated the number of cars (it's not within walking distance of anywhere significant) so parking is always full.
A quick summary: Rammed with uncultured, arrogant, noisy Russians. Not close enough to the town or the beach. Definitely NOT the place for a quiet...
