Presented that to Reservations staff via email with correct date and period of stay in the subject while unintentional typo in the body text but wit 3 pictures showing why the help from staff was needed, the staff replied with the rate 10,XXX. When I saw the reply with wrong period of stay I found he captured from my wrong body text typo not the headline, I contacted back by email and received the reply from another person with rate of 11,XXX++. I don’t mind rate change but there is no care to explain why.
Arrival: security guard at gate and guard at the parking lot coordinated each other so well that there is a guidance to park near elevator for check in. It is a good impression but sadly only one for my stay until now.
Access to the lobby level for check: A door man or bell staff approached for luggage help but I didn’t need that help because it was only a small one with 4 wheels but no further offer, not showing where to check in. I kept walking thru to the end because there is a big counter with 3 staff behind the same offer happened from another person in the middle but no direction guidance. The staffs in the counter kept talking not approaching even eye contact, once I reached the counter, where is opposite side from car park access elevator, one of the staff told, “check in is not here. I will escort you to 39 floor).
At check-in, Check-in was delayed because there are only two desks and staff were engaged. Once a table was available, the staff at that table pointed me by hand to sit at the chair of the desk in front of him without good manner of standing up and smiles. He was sick but no mask. The check-in was in process but interrupted by another staff approached the private check in desk for exchange some money with quantity of bank notes that both must spent time to count while I was sitting and waiting. Once I mentioned, the reply was he did that because the ID scanning machine was so slow (like he killed waiting time doing the exchange).
The registration was presented to sign without general level of 5 star luxury service. There was a Thank You for being a member. However, the rate plan I booked is entitled to an upgrade but he said the room type of corner room was already upgraded and tried finding different reasons but not thing more than another time lie (twice on check in process). Finally, he said the upgrade is subject to availability in the offer text. I then told him that if the upgrade did not arranged or could not happen, just say that.
Business meeting at Grand Lobby Bar: First it large but no grand feeling not even the fine work of architecture and interior design can create the sense of Grand, even the iconic water from fountain at the copied the original Dusit Thani Bangkok cannot make it the same beautiful.
Beverage prices were mostly fine except some types of wine by glass. Filtered water with dirty smell even I asked for a glass of fresh water without anything infused. (No such smell at 1970 bar and tap water when teeth brush)
Service was rough, need to stand up and waves and waves to gain attention.
The pool bar Similar style of service level. No approach for the 2nd glasses while meeting discussions were not finished but bill presentation because pool bar will change the shift (right at the time we tried to find a staff to take our order as everyone’s glass was empty. I then asked whether the venue was being closed and he said , “No.” with explanation, This is the reason I knew about shift changing.) - Own interest more than guests’ interest service style at this price is not possible.
Bar 1970 The hostess walked to show me a nice view table and at that time was beautiful light for my pictures. A blogger prevented me to sit but after negotiating between him and the hostess, I comeback to sit in 5 minutes. I’s fine waiting at another corner first. However the wait was much more than 5 minutes and ruined my mood of...

From the moment I stepped into the grand lobby of the all-new Dusit Thani Bangkok, it was clear this wasn’t just a hotel — it was a reimagined icon.
A seamless blend of Thai heritage and contemporary luxury, the property is a tribute to the past while boldly stepping into the future.
My stay in one of their Club Suites was nothing short of spectacular. It was a refined experience that resets the bar for five-star hospitality in the heart of Bangkok.
First Impressions: A Gracious Welcome
The legendary Dusit warmth greeted me at check-in. The staff was gracious, professional, and made every moment feel personalized.
The Club Lounge team took care of everything swiftly, with Thai hospitality at its most elegant: no queues, no waiting, just grace.
The Club Suite: Elevated Thai Elegance
Perched high above the city, the Club Suite was expansive, bathed in natural light with panoramic views of Lumpini Park and the skyline.
The interiors, masterfully designed by world-renowned designer André Fu, struck a beautiful balance between modern sophistication and timeless Thai aesthetics.
From the rich wooden textures and silk wall panels to the understated elegance of his signature palette, every detail felt purposeful and calming.
The living room was ideal for both business and leisure, while the bedroom offered a sanctuary of quiet luxury.
A plush bed with crisp linens made for restorative sleep, and the marble-clad bathroom complete with a soaking tub, dual vanities, and high-tech Japanese toilet added that layer of indulgence you’d expect from a world-class suite.
Club Lounge Privileges: Above and Beyond
Access to the Club Lounge was a game changer. Mornings began with a gourmet breakfast spread served with sweeping city views. Afternoon tea was elegant, while the evening cocktails and canapés felt like a private reception at a luxury residence.
It wasn’t just the food and drinks, it was the attentive yet discreet service that made it feel special.
The Dusit Touch
What sets Dusit Thani apart is its unwavering commitment to service. Every staff member I encountered, from housekeeping to the door men, carried the same ethos of excellence.
Small details like handwritten notes, turn-down treats, and remembering the guest name created an atmosphere of familiarity and care that few hotels can deliver.
Location: The Heart of Bangkok
Perfectly situated at the intersection of Silom and Rama IV, the hotel offers direct access to both MRT and BTS lines, placing the entire city at your doorstep. Yet, with its lush landscaping and tranquil interiors, the chaos of Bangkok feels miles away.
Final Thoughts
The new Dusit Thani Bangkok is a true masterclass in hospitality.
It is a bold return of a Bangkok legend that respects its roots while pushing forward.
My stay in the Club Suite was not just a hotel experience; it was a luxurious immersion in Thai culture, elevated by impeccable service and world-class amenities.
Would I return? Without a question.
This is where Bangkok rediscovers its soul in five-star luxury.
WHAT I LOVE. Dyson Hairdryer. SMEG kettle. Diptyque shower gel. The Japanese Toilet. The world’s best bed. Asia’s Best Buffet Breakfast Spread at The Pavilion.
WHAT’S MISSING. A work desk with charging station and an Herman Miller Executive Chair.

Read moreWe were excited to stay at the newly built Dusit Thani Bangkok. The property is part of a master community that includes the hotel, residences, a shopping mall and office towers. The location is at the foot of Lumphini park and the intersection of the Bangkok BTS train system and the Bangkok MRT train station giving Dusit guests unlimited access via public transportation to all parts of the city. The newly opened One Bangkok mall is within easy proximity as well. We reserved a Club Level King and were located on the 38th floor. The room entitled us to Club Access and all the amenities that it entailed. I will break down our impressions into the property itself and then talk about the experience and service. The property is a true 5-star property designed by the famous Hong Kong based designer Andre Fu Studios. Andre Fu's design aesthetic is found in all of its glory in the Dusit Thani Bangkok. The guest room is resplendent in contemporary Thai inspired beauty. Typical of Andre Fu, he lets the choice of materials create an aesthetic that is not only captivating but exudes warmth and comfort. The Dusit spent a small fortune on each guestroom with abundant travertine marble, rift sawn white oak millwork and paneling, jade onyx, velvet carpeting and exquisite wide plank flooring, custom furniture and ultra comfortable seating. No expense was spared in the design of the room down to the uber expensive Toto Washlet toilet. The guestroom was not only spacious but, in all respects, designed to provide guests a tranquil and serene refuge from the bustling streets of Bangkok. The sound insulation between rooms is also superb as we didn't hear a peep from adjoining rooms. Anyone can invest in a nice hotel property. What sets the Dusit apart is the wonderful staff. Every member of the staff treated us with genuine hospitality and warmth. From check in, to room maintenance, to dining and bars, every staff member understood the true meaning of personal care and hospitality and demonstrated their commitment to us in ways both large and small. We felt we received genuine care as if we were family members. This is what defines a property from "good" to "great"! Every day we took advantage of our club level amenities, and we can attest that they did not disappoint. Evening cocktail included extensive food and beverage pairings. The chefs came up with a daily Bento-box of goodies that made us so full we at times had skipped dinner. The staff remembered our drink preferences and had a cold Chardonnay waiting for us upon our arrival. I highly recommend reserving a room with Club privileges as the reward far outweighs the cost. A special thanks to Pear, Jindakacha and Nant at the Club who treated us with warmth and kindness made our stay truly other level. The outstanding rooms attendants, superb room service, pool attendants and amazing front door staff and tuk tuk drivers. If you are considering a luxury stay in Bangkok look no further. In closing the Dusit Thani Bangkok has captured our hearts and we look forward to...
