Perched at the very top of the new Dusit Thani Bangkok, Spire Rooftop Bar delivers a truly elevated experience — both literally and figuratively. From the moment you step out onto the terrace, you're greeted by a sweeping, cinematic view of Lumphini Park, the city skyline, and the glowing pulse of Bangkok far below. It’s serene, sophisticated, and utterly breathtaking.
What sets Spire apart from other rooftop bars is the ambiance. There’s no sense of rush or pretense — just an effortless blend of luxury, calm, and charisma. The staff were incredibly warm and attentive, and the overall vibe was stylish without trying too hard.
The cocktail menu was creative, thoughtful, and full of surprises. Here's what I had:
Lucid Dream was the perfect opener — refreshing, bright, and slightly playful. With Havana Club rum, apple pie syrup, lemon, mint, and a splash of sparkling wine, it felt like the rooftop version of a summer breeze.
6pm Romance brought a spirit-forward twist to classic elegance, combining gin, Campari, vermouth, and a beautifully subtle pandan liqueur that gave it a distinct Southeast Asian signature.
Proton Candy, the clarified milk punch, was one of the most complex and satisfying cocktails I’ve had in Bangkok — layers of vodka, banana, coconut, cardamom, pineapple, honey, and red wine. Creamy yet light, sweet yet balanced, with a silky texture that lingered.
Rocksteady closed the night with depth — a moody mix of Jameson, coffee, coconut orgeat, and bitters. Smooth, warming, and quietly powerful.
Each cocktail is priced at THB 420, which feels incredibly reasonable given the craftsmanship, presentation, and the world-class view that comes with it.
Whether you’re winding down after dinner or starting your evening with a toast to the skyline, Spire Rooftop Bar is one of those rare spots that makes you fall in love with Bangkok all over again. I’ll...
Read moreThis sky bar just opened on December 17th and is located on the rooftop of the Dusit Thani Hotel at the Silom intersection. Dusit Thani is a classic five-star hotel in Thailand, which was demolished and rebuilt a few years ago. It reopened in mid-year, and the Spire Rooftop Bar, situated on the top floor, just had its grand opening on December 17th. Reservations have been fully booked every day since its opening. If you try to reserve a spot, you’ll likely be told it’s full, but walk-in seating is available starting at 5 PM.
It’s recommended to arrive at the hotel before 5 PM and go upstairs right when it opens. The friendly staff will help arrange a seat for you. There are only about 10 tables, so if you come late, you may have to queue or stand at the bar to enjoy drinks and the stunning Bangkok night view if there are no seats available.
The sky bar offers a 270-degree view, facing northeast and overlooking Lumpini Park. If you come up at 5 PM, the sunset will be behind you, providing excellent lighting for photos.
The food is delicious, deserving a 9.5/10, with an average spend of around 1,000 THB per person. The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming.
The night view is equally stunning. Standing at the heart of Bangkok, you can take in the mesmerizing and vibrant beauty of the “City of Angels.”

Read moreCommitted a crime by heading to Spire rooftop bar and not ordering any alcoholic drink. We just came for a very light dinner so we ordered the Thai Taco, Deep Fried Wings, Wagyu Sliders and the Truffle Fries. Knowing how hot tables are at Bangkok rooftop bars, we were lucky to snag one. The views were breathtaking and when we went to the topmost deck to see the spire, my energy to stand was taken away as well and my legs turned to jelly seeing the surrounding views and realizing how high up we were. The service was impeccable. Even before the rain came, the staff already informed us of the forecast so they already arranged for everyone to be moved to rhe bar below, 1970 bar. The food offering of spire was diverse and is different from the offering lf 1970 Bar. The tacos were very flavorful but a bit too spicy for us (in true Thai fashion it was spicy) but I really liked the fresh flavor. The Wagyu sliders were tasty and tender. The beef patty was very juicy. Wings were very flavorful as well and I also strangley enjoyed the truffle fries which was strange cause I dont usually like truffle dishes but this one didnt have that very strong truffle flavor.
Service was very good despite the minor hiccuo of us getting duplicated orders. They were all very friendly and attentive and we had warm interactions...
