No, no, nooooooooo! I’d def. NOT recommend this place. A huge disappointment!
Price I’m shocked that their food is priced at this level. This should be more than fine dining quality to live up to the price, BUT def. underserving the expectations! I would never come back here, for any reason.. It was a waste of time and money, unfortunately.
Food Pasta: The ravioli with scallops… so bland I left my favorite food in the world, which is ravioli….. The classic Aglio e Olio.. what you can expect. A very simple dish.. which you can’t really mess up much..
Bread: So boring, I could fall asleep. Why do you serve dry bread in a basket? Rather a few sorts, less bread but instead better quality. If I were you… Just too much of nothing special… A fuss, without essence.
Appetizer: Octopus very chewy and weirdly, evenly cut chunks. Looks very old style and doesn’t help the taste. Evenly thickly cut octopus;; why..? Caesar salad.. made of anchovy, lemon, eggs, oil and mustard, right..? You didn’t use mayonnaise, right..?
Steak: What was that… Especially the garnish…????? What is that??? Unnecessary garnish, which makes the food look old and distracts from the main…. And the portions is not well balanced either.. what was the green mousse style something? A litte explanation along the dinner would’ve have been very helpful.
Service It was HECTIC, and why are the tables so crowded??? The distance among the tables is causing claustrophobia…. And also NO ONE is smiling. Why so serious? Is someone watching you and counting your mistakes? It was very uncomfortable to watch and to dine in this atmosphere. If you want to have a nice dinner, good ambience, and great food, I would never suggest recommend this place. And on top of everything, the bill makes it even worse, letting you pay for this hectic mess, with the service charge and the tax extra.
Less is more.. The Menu was packed with options…. I haven’t seen such an old menu style in a while…..
I wish, I’d have read the reviews before the visit… We were too hungry.. but if you have other options, don’t choose this place. Not...
Read moreThe food was fine. What you may have to be careful of, is being swindled when youre asked by the cunning waitress if you want the risotto priced in the menu as a main (baht 1200) instead as “a starter” = smaller portion,
You’re then self-encouraged to ‘fill the gap’ by ordering a main. Later on, when you request the bill, then sight & query the billing for the risotto though served as a starter is still at the main size price , they then make out the risotto is what you start with.
Sorry my English is perfect! You can’t play that game without criticism. And a fine dining restaurant like zanottin would surely rehearse interactions with diners to a T, no?
These girls were far from fresh, exactly what I detected by the derision I got from another (not original waitress) when I kindly queried the size and price. I am not fooled.
I would have thought they would have downsized the price if I had a different perception when the matter popped up. Not at Zanotti.
Don’t be too elegant with these waiting people, it’s not the first time clearly, all noticeable by the defensive:aggressive tone of the waitress who first answered my query and yet despite her refutation I stated it was the other waitresses suggestion not mine.
Besides that, the interior:
they have beige vinyl tarpaulins hanging or bulging in parts from the ceiling and where I was, the hum of AC is something I’m used to in Calcutta notnin an Italian fine dining restaurant . I guess you’re not supposed to look up.
I only came here because I couldn’t go to another reataurant closed on New Years holiday.
The music;
was a bit ‘all over the place’, but cosmopolitan Bangkok with tourists from ‘all corners’ may not notice.
You guessed right, my treatment which I accepted as I paid with the original waitresses gentle prostrations “there’s only one size” (she said “a starter” and suggested a smaller portion with her hands going from large to small) means I’m not coming back. Sad really that...
Read moreIf there is - stars, I would give -10 . I just ordered pizza via phone with Zanotti Bangkok, and I ended up got charged 2,500 thb per one pizza ...... are you freaking serious??????? If I have known you guys are charging this much overpriced for food I would NEVER order from your restaurant and I will make sure I will pass my comments to all my circle as well. Let me walk you through what happened, I called around 11.10 to put an order in which at that point I was asking how much this order cost surprisingly NONE of your staffs seem to know how much for food in their restaurant, they said only cashier would know, stupidly I didn't acknowledge the price would be this rocket high due to we do order premium food for our customers all the time so I pushed order through without knowing the real cost. Also you staff told me that Cashier will clock in at 11.30 which he will call me back to let me know how much the order cost which is the same time the kitchen open, if I have found out at 11.30 I would have stopped my order but then again your staff failed to deliver the news and again no one could tell me how much my order cost! I was on the phone for over 25 mins just to find out how much I need to pay. My order in total was 12,054 thb with 7 items.
After sent email to restaurant manager he didn't show any responsibility at all, also I asked for the bill that show price details he said he needs to go thu revenue department to give us the bill. Wouldn't we get the bill after every purchase anyway? Why this time I need to go thu revenue department just to see...
