Pros: The location is fantastic. Everything you want to see in Istanbul (Blue Mosque, Grand Bazaar, Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace etc.) is within walking distance. If you are also after an authentic Turkish experience, this apartment is situated on the side of Istanbul that isn't as rich as the Europe side and is sprawling with markets and eateries so you feel quite submerged in the culture.||||Another big pro is that the family that runs the apartment (father and son) were extremely polite and helpful (though there is a slight language barrier). When I asked to use their phone as I had run out of credit, the father was able to speak to the Turkish airlines operator in Arabic so they could find an English speaking representative to help me. I also asked them for a box to pack some clothes and the son offered to go the market and get me some that day as well. They organised cheap shuttles for us both ways, and I was given a commemorative soap as a gift when departing which I thought was a nice touch.||||Cons: We stayed during the hot summer months so the humidity and heat was unbearable without the A/C on. Unfortunately our A/C (in room 8) was not situated in the best location which meant I had to move my bed to avoid being dehydrated in the night. The flight of stairs is quite perilous and steep, one of the railings came loose and I almost fell down with it so it's a little dangerous if you are not...

Very helpful, helped to confirm the return transport to the hotel for us by calling the company himself.
