What a wonderful hotel! We loved every minute spent here even we stayed only for 1 night. Our rooms 203 & 204 were absolutely clean, beautifully designed, mattresses are very comfortable, towels and bedlinen snow-white without any stains (in some google maps reviews there were complaints, so the hotel is improved:) All personnel with whom we communicated were extremely polite, friendly, helpful and professional. Temperature in the room is set to 18’C to increase it you just need to communicate it to reception (our room got warm within a few minutes). Location of the hotel is just perfect, in the center of Sultanahmet district, surrounded with many restaurants, souvenir shops etc. Beautiful area! We arrived to the hotel from the international airport by metro (M11 to the end then change to M2 to the final stop and from there 3km we took a taxi). As we have left a hotel early in the morning I can’t say anything about the breakfast. The hotel ordered a taxi for us with a fixed price to the airport 1000lira. Money exchange we made in the reception (1€ = 31lira), not the best rate but very convenient. Would love to be back in Istanbul and stay in this hotel again!

Hello friends, Thanks, Grand Yavuz Hotel team for making our stayed memorable. We stayed 4 nights in this hotel in August 2024 had 2 rooms side by side. This is my second time staying in this hotel. From the check in to check out, everything went really well. Front desk staff Mr. Okan and others were very courteous and able to help me to find a nice restaurant where we enjoyed delicious food. They also guided us how to reach to a specific place. Thank you again. Regarding the room, they are small however it is across the board (I think). Both the rooms were very clean, bed was very comfortable, bathroom was clean and since it’s hot, AC was nice also. The hotel is closed to Grand Bazar, Blue Mosque and other attraction. One thing is that you have to walk up hill to reach the attraction. Overall, it’s great to stay with my family and we really enjoyed. Oh yes, I forget to mention the amazing breakfast buffet with 3 different kinds of bread, 3 main dishes (Omelet, mix vegetables and a meat item), vegetables, jam, butter, fruits and off course tea, coffee, juices etc. Thanks

I was given this hotel by Turkish Airline as a free hotel for my stay in Istanbul. Keeping in mind this hotel is on the Turkish Airline panel for stay over. It was an extremely clean hotel, with extremely friendly staff. The rooms were a bit small but i guess that how hotel rooms are in this part of Istanbul, but was very comfortable. The bathroom was also decent with all the amneties. The location of the property is very good and is almost 15 minutes' walk from the Grand Bazaar, and has a super market and many restaurants nearby. The breakfast area was in the basement, and the food variety was not that much but had all the necarry items for a good decent breakfast. The property is on a sort of a hill, so make sure you have comfortable walking shoes if you want to roam around the property.

MR OKAN👎👎👎👎👎👎👎 The attitude of the receptionist is very rude and bad! The reservation system betweeen the hotel and the Turkish airline is very bad.

We’re a group of 3 adults and 1 child. When we arrived at the hotel, the reception told us that our reservation is being changed.

We ended up paying 2 nights for a triple room, and the 3rd night is a complimentary double room from the Turkish Airline. While doing check in, the reception staff told us that we will be staying in the same room throughout 3 nights.

On the 3rd day morning, the reception called to our room and asked us to check out. I requested the receptionist to check further about our reservation, which we are staying for 3 nights in the same room. After that, I didn’t receive any information.

Then we naturally thought everything is alright, we hang out a bit and came back to the hotel around 2pm. However we found that we had no access to the hotel room. After inquiry to the reception, they asked us to move to another double room, and they claimed us for late check out.

In fact, for the 3rd night, we are just staying till 7pm and we are leaving to the airport. So we asked whether we can stay together in the double room, and we are not gonna having their breakfast on tmr morning, but the reception rejected with a very rude attitude, and their reason is, we’ve already late checked out for 3 hours. However I’ve already explained that we don’t mean to check out late, just that they themselves told us we don’t have to change our room, so we didn’t take the time to pack our luggage.

In conclusion, this hotel has a reception with very bad attitude, and the reservation system in collaboration with the Turkish Airline is very confusing.

The hotel side won’t tolerate any, they just arrogantly asked us ‘this is not our business, talk to Turkish Airline’.

I don’t believe a hotel reception with this bad and rude attitude, is able to provide professional and comfortable service to any other customer.

Be aware of this hotel.

Update: ended up 2 of us leaving the hotel, and 2 staying in the double room, but the reception keep calling to our room, very disturbing. I guest they wanna check if whether we 4 stay in the room. Such a mean and...

Like many other reviewers, I stayed in this hotel for free with the Turkish Airlines stopover.

The location of the hotel was very convenient. I opted to travel from the airport via bus then tram and it was about a 10 minute walk (steeply) downhill from the nearest station. With only my backpacks, this was no problem but I could imagine with larger luggage, like a roller bag, it could be more challenging to get down and later back up the hill. Note: I left my roller bag with the luggage storage at the airport (reasonably priced, but cash only). Many of the must-see attractions were also within a 15 minute walk from the hotel.

I arrived several hours before my assigned check in time, hoping to at least drop off my bags, but the staff was still able to get me in a room almost immediately. Everyone I interacted with at the hotel was very helpful and polite.

The bedroom and bathroom were both perfectly clean. The shower had great water pressure which was fantastic after a very long flight, although it had to be adjusted several times, since the pressure would raise or lower presumably as other rooms used their showers.

I can confirm what others said that the room is small, but this was not a problem for me since I was staying alone, and in fact it felt rather cozy. With so many things to see nearby, I was barely in the room except to sleep. With the curtains closed and after a night of traveling followed by a day full of exploring, I fell asleep instantly.

I can also confirm what was mentioned in some other reviews that the walls are thin. My room was by the elevator and I could hear entire conversations of people in the halls as they were coming and going.

The included breakfast was also very nice. The bread was surprisingly delicious and I enjoyed it with the fresh honeycomb and an assortment of cheese and vegetables.

I took the tram and bus back the airport but it was nice that the hotel had a transfer option onsite.

Overall I was very impressed with my stay and I would recommend it to others in the stopover program when considering the...

This is one of the hotels that are associated to Turkish Airlines for a free stop over. Arrival time and departure time of my flight were 7pm and 4pm, and the airline company offered me a free accommodation.

I would expect the hotel for a stop over should be close to the airport but the hotel is so far from the airport. Maybe the flight company rather wants stop over people to go sightseeing. It is about 40km away from the airport. I took M11, M7, M2, T1, and then walked around to find the hotel (it is not easy!). The subway system is good, though we need to walk a lot to transfer. There is another hotel near Taksim that could be hit by Google Map when one enters the name of this hotel. I made the mistake and spent extra time walking around at the station. It would take 1.5 hrs from the airport. In my case it took 2 hrs.

The reception people do not talk much. I was at the reception but he did not talk to me for a while. Another person offered to me to escort to my room. I did not have any luggage so I told him it is not necessary. The breakfast is included for stop over people but it is quite disappointing; orange juice is not 100%, coffee tastes like instant ones, salad is not fresh. None of them tastes good.

There is a cafe restaurant just near the entrance of the hotel. I had orange juice, suffle, and chai. They are all very good. It opens at 8:30am so I would recommend you to skip breakfast at the hotel and go to the cafe.

Anyway, I am happy staying in the hotel. First of all it is free. I feel delighted when I finally found the hotel. Breakfast is bad but a nearby cafe is good. If you have a chance, take the opportunity of the free stop over. Leave the luggage in the airplane. It would be a disaster to walk around...
