MR OKANđđđđđđđ The attitude of the receptionist is very rude and bad! The reservation system betweeen the hotel and the Turkish airline is very bad.
Weâre a group of 3 adults and 1 child. When we arrived at the hotel, the reception told us that our reservation is being changed.
We ended up paying 2 nights for a triple room, and the 3rd night is a complimentary double room from the Turkish Airline. While doing check in, the reception staff told us that we will be staying in the same room throughout 3 nights.
On the 3rd day morning, the reception called to our room and asked us to check out. I requested the receptionist to check further about our reservation, which we are staying for 3 nights in the same room. After that, I didnât receive any information.
Then we naturally thought everything is alright, we hang out a bit and came back to the hotel around 2pm. However we found that we had no access to the hotel room. After inquiry to the reception, they asked us to move to another double room, and they claimed us for late check out.
In fact, for the 3rd night, we are just staying till 7pm and we are leaving to the airport. So we asked whether we can stay together in the double room, and we are not gonna having their breakfast on tmr morning, but the reception rejected with a very rude attitude, and their reason is, weâve already late checked out for 3 hours. However Iâve already explained that we donât mean to check out late, just that they themselves told us we donât have to change our room, so we didnât take the time to pack our luggage.
In conclusion, this hotel has a reception with very bad attitude, and the reservation system in collaboration with the Turkish Airline is very confusing.
The hotel side wonât tolerate any, they just arrogantly asked us âthis is not our business, talk to Turkish Airlineâ.
I donât believe a hotel reception with this bad and rude attitude, is able to provide professional and comfortable service to any other customer.
Be aware of this hotel.
Update: ended up 2 of us leaving the hotel, and 2 staying in the double room, but the reception keep calling to our room, very disturbing. I guest they wanna check if whether we 4 stay in the room. Such a mean and...
Read moreLike many other reviewers, I stayed in this hotel for free with the Turkish Airlines stopover.
The location of the hotel was very convenient. I opted to travel from the airport via bus then tram and it was about a 10 minute walk (steeply) downhill from the nearest station. With only my backpacks, this was no problem but I could imagine with larger luggage, like a roller bag, it could be more challenging to get down and later back up the hill. Note: I left my roller bag with the luggage storage at the airport (reasonably priced, but cash only). Many of the must-see attractions were also within a 15 minute walk from the hotel.
I arrived several hours before my assigned check in time, hoping to at least drop off my bags, but the staff was still able to get me in a room almost immediately. Everyone I interacted with at the hotel was very helpful and polite.
The bedroom and bathroom were both perfectly clean. The shower had great water pressure which was fantastic after a very long flight, although it had to be adjusted several times, since the pressure would raise or lower presumably as other rooms used their showers.
I can confirm what others said that the room is small, but this was not a problem for me since I was staying alone, and in fact it felt rather cozy. With so many things to see nearby, I was barely in the room except to sleep. With the curtains closed and after a night of traveling followed by a day full of exploring, I fell asleep instantly.
I can also confirm what was mentioned in some other reviews that the walls are thin. My room was by the elevator and I could hear entire conversations of people in the halls as they were coming and going.
The included breakfast was also very nice. The bread was surprisingly delicious and I enjoyed it with the fresh honeycomb and an assortment of cheese and vegetables.
I took the tram and bus back the airport but it was nice that the hotel had a transfer option onsite.
Overall I was very impressed with my stay and I would recommend it to others in the stopover program when considering the...
Read moreThis is one of the hotels that are associated to Turkish Airlines for a free stop over. Arrival time and departure time of my flight were 7pm and 4pm, and the airline company offered me a free accommodation.
I would expect the hotel for a stop over should be close to the airport but the hotel is so far from the airport. Maybe the flight company rather wants stop over people to go sightseeing. It is about 40km away from the airport. I took M11, M7, M2, T1, and then walked around to find the hotel (it is not easy!). The subway system is good, though we need to walk a lot to transfer. There is another hotel near Taksim that could be hit by Google Map when one enters the name of this hotel. I made the mistake and spent extra time walking around at the station. It would take 1.5 hrs from the airport. In my case it took 2 hrs.
The reception people do not talk much. I was at the reception but he did not talk to me for a while. Another person offered to me to escort to my room. I did not have any luggage so I told him it is not necessary. The breakfast is included for stop over people but it is quite disappointing; orange juice is not 100%, coffee tastes like instant ones, salad is not fresh. None of them tastes good.
There is a cafe restaurant just near the entrance of the hotel. I had orange juice, suffle, and chai. They are all very good. It opens at 8:30am so I would recommend you to skip breakfast at the hotel and go to the cafe.
Anyway, I am happy staying in the hotel. First of all it is free. I feel delighted when I finally found the hotel. Breakfast is bad but a nearby cafe is good. If you have a chance, take the opportunity of the free stop over. Leave the luggage in the airplane. It would be a disaster to walk around...
