We booked this hotel because of the glowing reviews and the convenient location, but it was a complete and utter disaster. The walk to the Grand Bazaar is a treacherous climb up a steep and filthy street, lined with nothing but wholesale shoe and textile shops. In the morning, the outside becomes quite noisy when these businesses open their doors.

About the hotel: The staff are friendly, but that's where the positives end. The rooms are cramped with beds that are barely passable.

The bathroom is so minuscule that the toilet had to be squeezed into the shower, leaving barely enough room to move around. The sink is laughably small, barely big enough to brush your teeth in. I've stayed in my fair share of budget hotels, but I've never seen anything as squalid as this.
