I recently stayed at The Assos Hotel, and I was really looking forward to the amenities advertised, particularly the spa and swimming pool. Unfortunately, upon arrival, I was informed that both facilities were unavailable during my stay. This was a major disappointment, especially since I had specifically chosen this hotel based on the promise of these amenities.||The staff we not even apologetic and offered no alternative solutions or compensation, which felt a bit frustrating. It’s disappointing when a hotel promotes certain features but doesn't deliver on them, especially when those features were a key factor in my booking decision.||Additionally, the room was a letdown. It lacked air conditioning, which made it uncomfortable during the warmer evenings, especially with an infant. To make matters worse, the room had a window that opened into a dark, narrow staircase—definitely not the outside view I had hoped for. The lack of natural light and fresh air made the room feel even more claustrophobic.||While the staff were polite, the lack of transparency about the facilities and the uncomfortable room left a lot to be desired. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel unless you're willing to overlook these issues, especially if you’re booking for specific amenities.||The rest of the stay was fine, decent service, and close to the grand bazar, but I definitely felt let down by the lack of the promised spa and pool. I would recommend clarifying the availability of such amenities before booking, or perhaps offering alternative options when they are...
Read moreThe most disgusting hotel I've stayed in by far. When we walked into our room the first night it smelled like a sewer and the floors and furniture looked dirty. We told the staff and asked them to clean it or move us but all they said was that the room was clean. It was late and we were tired so we just aired it out and managed. The air conditioner was not working properly and despite being on all night at the lowest temperature our room was still warm in the morning. The next day we asked for a clothing iron and they said they gave it to another room and didn't know who currently had it. The elevator is small and smells bad as well.
We'd already paid for 2 nights and couldn't find somewhere else ro stay that didn't charge extremely high prices in the area, so we came back for the second night. After walking about 20+ thousand steps all I wanted was a hot shower, but the water was more like room temperature. The shower was moldy and dirty in the corners. We told them about the ac but no one came to check on it for us. Don't waste your money here, I wouldn't stay again if they paid me to. Just pay an extra 10 dollars a night and stay somewhere that's clean, hygienic, and has all the proper facilities.
I'm never letting my father book a hotel again without checking with me first. He didn't bother reading any reviews or we wouldn't have ended our trip on...
Read moreWhen you exit the airport scammers show you pictures of this hotel that looks very nice. I had a layover of 19 hrs my client booked and he didn't tell me about until I was in the airport in Thailand. I had no wifi to search hotels. So I booked round trip taxi and hotel from on of the booths exiting Istanbul airport. When you get there it looks nothing like the picture! Very dirty old building but I just prepaid at the airport so might as we try it right. Rooms were filthy. They changed my room to one without holes in the walls. The next was a cleaner room but bathroom ceiling was about to cave in from water damage. On both rooms the door frames were broken around the locks! The lock you put on top to only let the door open a little were also boat broken in half on both rooms. I'm a 6'2 290lb guyandci didn't feel safe in the room or to leave my things in it. After a sleep I woke up feeling sick like a cold. Buy the end of the next day I had 103 degree fever. I can't say it was from the hotel or something else honestly no way to tell. I would never recommend going there unless you're are in the area and want to see how bad it really is inside vs the pictures for a laugh. You can feel the mold crawling on you so be ready if...
