AHC Grand Bazaar Hotel — Hotel in Fatih

I recently stayed at this 4-star hotel, but unfortunately, the experience was far from what one would expect from a hotel of this rating. The service was incredibly disappointing, more akin to a one-star establishment.

Firstly, the hotel staff showed a lack of flexibility and basic courtesy. When we requested an extra towel, we were bluntly refused, with the staff stating that they had already provided towels in the morning. This is not the level of service one expects from a 4-star hotel.

Secondly, I felt as though the hotel was constantly trying to extract extra money from us by any means possible. They attempted to charge us extra for 1 months age difference for my six-year-old child. Luckily, I managed to resolve this issue without any additional cost through Agoda. However, this attempt to overcharge left a bitter taste.

Things took an absurd turn when they tried to charge us 9 Euros for an empty cup, claiming that we had broken it. We hadn't even used the cup, let alone break it. This was a clear example of the hotel's unscrupulous practices.

Safety is a prime concern for any traveler, and I am sorry to say that this hoteldid not meet our expectations in that regard either. It felt like a non-safe place, which is completely unacceptable for any hotel, let alone a 4-star one.

The service, in general, was very poor. The staff seemed uninterested in helping or providing a pleasant experience. Their indifferent attitude was a stark contrast to the warm, welcoming service one would expect at a hotel of this rating.

Finally, the breakfast was a letdown. The food was not up to par with the quality expected from a 4-star hotel. The variety was limited, the taste was mediocre, and the presentation was lackluster.

In conclusion, I was deeply disappointed with my stay at this hotel. While it may boast a 4-star rating, the service was nothing better than a one-star. The hotel needs to seriously improve its service, pricing practices, and overall quality if it hopes to live up to its rating. I would not...

I booked this hotel through Expedia, but the experience was far from what I expected. The hotel photos were misleading, and the service was subpar. The staff were not particularly friendly, and the overall atmosphere was lackluster.||Upon entering the room, I was taken aback to find that the toilet and shower were located within the room, offering little privacy. This setup would be uncomfortable for anyone staying with friends or those who aren’t comfortable with such close proximity between the toilet and the rest of the room.||I immediately contacted Expedia for assistance, but they were unable to resolve the issue on the spot. They asked the hotel for an upgrade, which the hotel initially claimed wasn’t available. Yet, after further communication from Expedia, two “upgraded rooms” suddenly appeared. However, these rooms were essentially the same, with only an additional bed added, and the same cramped, shared sanitation facilities.||Unhappy with the lack of resolution and the cramped room conditions, I decided to check out early. Unfortunately, I had no backup plan and had to scramble to rebook another hotel at the last minute.
