This is the third time I stay in this hotel, and when I come back here it feels like coming back home to family. I wish I posted the other two times I came also. But nonetheless, the staff is very good. At the front desk whether it was Yigit, Fitma and Suat. There were always there to help me with anything I need. Also Mr. Semih . Now when it comes to housekeeping the last two times. God bless her soul I have had Miss.Seher . She is honestly a good hard-working woman, and every time I come in here my room is spotless. And anything I needed. She tried to help me with it. Also, one year in housekeeping, I believe I had a Miss Mediho, she was also amazing and kept my room spotless. Well, I cannot forget about the bellboys you have Yusef and Erdoon also, they were big help. This hotel might not have the big rooms they might not have a swimming pool. But I believe the customer service they give a person makes up for all of that. If you need to find a place to go to they will help you get there give you directions and the best way to get there. Overall I enjoy staying here they’re good hard-working people. And if I come back to Istanbul Turkey. I will try to make my reservations here at the same hotel. Also, I want to thank everyone that works in the restaurant. I couldn’t keep up with everybody’s names. The buffet was all right for the size of the hotel. All the workers kept everything clean and the food was good. On another note, my second trip, I stayed a week in this hotel, and then I went to the Ramada by Wyndham in Taksin Even though the rooms are bigger there, I was honestly disappointed with the customer service they had every time I needed something I’d have to go to the front desk whether it was for extra water, bottle soap, or anything else for that matter. I was very disappointed with their service, and that hotel cost me more money. Like I said, if I come back to Istanbul turkey I will try to make my reservation in Ramada in old...
Read moreOverall a negative stay. Stayed here for 4 nights in June. The hotel is located on a dual carriageway, there is constantly car noises including beeping and enegine noises. Our first night we were based in a room facing the road and the noise was unbearable till 1 am where things quitetd down. We complained and were moved to a much smaller room on the other side of hotel which didn't have noise. This room did have the added benefit of mold around the sink and shower. The hotel reception were terrible for basis queries such as where is a good place to eat, and being told to eat in their overpriced terrible looking restaurant instead of being told local restaraunts. I didn't come to Istanbul to eat in the hotel. Speaking of the food, the included breakfast was terrible, selection was bad, food was often cold, and drinks available e.g. coffee were so bad we had to buy good coffee from the room service (maybe this is intentional so that you are forced to do this). Another request was a late checkout, we entered the hotel at 9pm when we checked in and I thought a slightly later checkout of 2 or 3pm vs the 12pm so we could take our time getting to the airport would be reasonable, was told to wait till the morning of to find out and then told only 1pm was possible despite explaining we would be stuck in the lobby for 2 hours with all our things they did not care. The kicker is at 12:30pm we received multiple calls from the recepetion threating to charge us for not vacating our room on time, only when they were told did they say okay fine no apologies, and then the cleaner came to our door to say the same thing - communication in this hotel is terrible. Avoid, I used to thing Ramada's were great, but will be avoiding the whole brand as a result of...
Read moreTo begin we stayed there for 6 days. Initially the room we were provided for the first night was exceptionally disappointing, small and claustrophobic. Upon requesting to change our room, we were shifted to a much more spacious standard room itself. We always found our room was cleaned and arranged everyday in the most perfect way.. so a big thank you to Ms. Seher who always ensured that the room was welcoming at the end of the day.. The heater system doesn’t work automatically from the room, so you have to ask at the reception to turn on. For the 4 nights, the room was cold, colder than even their lobby area. So for the final night I had to pin point and tell them to keep the heater at the temperature so that the room feels as warm as their lobby. Which they did.. so their response to requests is good. For tourists coming to visit Istanbul, this is probably the best hotel in terms of the area as well. You have the tram station just across the street, making the entire city accessible.
The most disappointing part was the breakfast. All 6 days the menu was the same. In all my years of travelling and staying at restaurants, I have never come across a breakfast buffet that charges separately for an omelette or sunny side up.
For this holiday, we stayed at crowne plaza and ottoman cave suites and sultan cave suites, all these three places had much better spread and live counter making egg preparation including omelette with cheese or plain omelette and even menemen. Breakfast was the most drab experience and definitely could improve.
We were given lemonade as welcome drink and their spa centre is also worth appreciating.
If you ask them, they also arrange for your taxi, saving tourists from been overcharged....
