HOTEL BOSSUITE BUSINESS — Hotel in Kadıköy

We stayed for 3 nights, quick summary.

The Good.

great position, area is quiet, safe and no bars to make noise.

the bed was very comfy, room 501 had opening door to access balcony.

super clean

good reception staff, very helpful

staff changed winter duvet as far too hot and gave us more sensible light cotton blanket, forgot to leave any toilet paper, but promptly bought some up straight away, also left air freshener as room smelt of smoke from next door.

decent kettle, hairdryer and a few coathangers appreciated.

The Not So Good.

Air conditioner blew smoke from next door room into our room, we had smoke filled room until 1am, horrible.

rooms cleaned far too late, we arrived back twice after long days of sightseeing (5.45pm on one occasion) and room still being cleaned. People returning after long days dont want to sit around waiting for rooms to be cleaned when they have vacated room early that morning.

sound carries thru rooms, we could hear next door snoring, talking, toilet activities etc

breakfast was a dismal affair, we looked at sad plates of extremely uninteresting nibbles, walked out. Looked horrible.

*linen is ok but all towels need replacing as pretty thread bare and paying what you do per night, you expect far better.

*had to get maintenance staff initially to fix door to balcony that was jammed (looked to be for a very long time) and you could not lock. We said we wouldn't stay in a room where you were unable to secure, staff came up and sorted out the lock so it worked properly.

fridge completely full of ice so does not...

Pros:

The hotel is located in a convenient location. The rooms and equipment are clean and new The restaurant is nice and has nice staff Room view on the last floor was nice The gentleman at the evening reception was nice and professional

Cons:

I had the room with terrace and the AC unit was above the room which would vibrate and had a constant humming noise which was unbearable. even with good window isolation. The staff weren't very friendly but did the bare basics. My room was ready at 14:20 but I got a call to vacant the room before 12:00 which was a little cheap The breakfast wasn't an open buffet and the offered breakfast was very basic and limited. I had a drink at the restaurant and paid for it immediately but heard the reception asking the restaurant staff if i had paid for it when i was in front of the elevator, again very cheap move.

I wont recommend it to foreigners but they were much nicer with Turkish guests. hence the many positive reviews from Turkish people. I guess the lack of English language knowledge was a big barrier. The gentlemen at evening reception spoke English...

The worst "hotel" I've stayed at with their tiny rooms besides a broken TV.  I wished it was for one night only. The staffs are rude!!!... We were not informed during check in that the rooms are cleaned every second day. We ended up having to re-use our dirty towels. On top of this breakfast is only served at 9.00 for a business hotel having people starting work at 8.00.We didn't even bother to see what they serve. I don't understand why this place does not have people fluent in english or who can express themselves at least, if its open for foreigners..Such a bad experience for my first stay in Turkey!...Even google translator didn't help and  the guy at the reception couldn't reply us via the translator either.. I wished I read the reviews...this is such a big disappointment!!.No hospitality,  then close down the place or train the staffs on how to welcome guests.. It's a NO for me, I definitely don't...
