Turkish Now Language Center — Local services in Kadıköy

Not often I write reviews but I'm happy to make an exception now. I considered several places around, for taking Turkish classes, before deciding to start here.

Turkish Now is run by a team of highly skilled, dedicated and experienced teachers. The classes are small (around 5-8 students on average) with a lot of personal attention. The atmosphere is very international: my classmates are from all over the world (Germany, Korea, Ukraine, Russia, Iran, USA) and the experience has been very positive and inclusive.

The program is setup in a fashion that is flexible and tailored to each student individually. But the group-effect creates extra engagement and helps to make progress in a fast and effective manner.

The team also organise cultural events every once in a while (with music, readings, food and drinks) to have a more fun and informal way of meeting other students while practising Turkish at the same time.

Prices are fair and the volume of classes (3 times per week 4 hours per day) is perfect to keep a good pace and routine. But if you need a different schedule they are open to offering it.

Special thanks to my teacher Şeyma who has been working tirelessly and full devotion with our class, but I've already seen the other teachers being just as committed as well.

It was my fortune to have spent one good month studying Turkish at Turkish Now Language Center in Kadıköy. I have been learning the language on my own online and it was my first time to study in a physical classroom. The whole experience was very positive, satisfying and encouraging. I felt more confident and comfortable to speak, and was able to express myself in Turkish. The result was so motivating and I am very happy about my achievement. My full gratitude to Ms. Nuray and Ms. Cansu who are very experienced, caring and supportive. Ms. Nuray was knowledgeable, creative and took us to a higher level. We got to learn many useful idioms and expressions. Ms. Cansu was an amazing soul with lots of energy and interesting topics. Despite my limited Turkish, I was able to discuss with her about many topics and MaanshaAllah she was guiding me step by step, so that I could give my ideas. I am really thankful for them. Instead of a language center, Turkish Now is more like our second home in Istanbul. I made friends in the class and enjoyed eating out together, sharing our stories and building friendship. I highly recommend to anyone who want to learn and improve their Turkish. I wish I could stay longer and definitely I want to come back again. Istanbul is a great city ! The language school of my choice in Kadıköy for sure. Fair prices, excellent teaching, adaptable and passionate teachers that go to great lengths to give you the most pleasant experience tailored to your learning speed. Not just teaching but also patiently encouraging you on those days of frustration everyone learning a foreign language knows. More familiar and relational than the average school, small groups or private tutoring available, very fair prices. They use the approved material and books for Turkish learning, offer in-person as well as online classes, and don't just teach the language but also the culture.
