Hotel Sahra — Hotel in Kadıköy

I had made a reservation at the Sahra Hotel from October 6 to October 20. When we arrived at the hotel on the 6th, we saw that it was completely different from what we had seen on Booking.com. The hotel room was in such a terrible condition that it seemed to be a breeding ground for diseases and viruses. I took photos and videos of the condition and immediately informed the reception that we had to leave. The receptionist gave me a written document agreeing to this, and we left the hotel the next morning. They promised to refund my money within 14 days. ||However, despite all my efforts, the hotel did not refund even half of my money. I deeply regret to say that Booking.com did not assist in resolving this issue either, as they seem to be collaborating with the hotel. They are deceiving people together. I was scammed; please, dear people, do not let yourselves be deceived. I wholeheartedly do not recommend you to come here if you have at least a minimum of other options!

And this is why:

you pay for a two-star hotel, but in the end you get a shabby dorm with holes in the floor, cockroaches and a toilet that leaks water into the room

🙌🏻 my advice add 200 lira on top and rent an apartment or hotel on any nearby street

absolutely no soundproofing, you will hear everything, absolutely everything and always

on the first floor there is a Turkish night club, and across the road there is a construction (see point 2 and the video I attached - filmed at 3:40 - sound in the room)

and I understand everything about the economic situation in Turkey and that prices are rising monthly and it is very difficult for people, but this is absolutely no reason to provide guests of a city this level of housing for 1100-1500...
