This hotel has a lovely property with a pretty view. It’s in a town 10 minutes from the main town with all the shops so it’s a bit secluded… and you cannot see the hot air balloons at sunrise from here. But it’s a nice property with a pool.
However, we encountered the worst customer service experience ever here and would advise anyone considering this hotel to stay away.
There was a male front desk employee and a male manager who acted grossly inappropriately and threatened to call the police on two middle aged woman and their daughters during a customer service dispute. No matter the dispute, this is not ok to do in any way shape or form and we are appalled that this occurred.
We were travelling with friends who stayed at another hotel, and we invited them to come see our rooms, view the beautiful property and have breakfast with us. When they arrived, we were rudely told they have a policy where friends of guests staying at the hotel cannot visit them, cannot see their rooms or dine with them at the restaurant. This “policy” is not written anywhere and if we knew we would not have invited our friends to come all the way.
When we asked to see the policy written, the manager said it did not have to be written “because he said so.” We were quite off put by this and asked for his name and business card and he said “we had no right to ask for that.” We expressed our shock and frustration and then called a taxi to leave. The conversation was over. Then, while waiting for the taxi the manager re-engaged in conversation and threatened to call the police on us if we did not leave in 5 minutes because he felt insulted. We told him we were waiting for a taxi… keep in mind 2 out of 4 of us were staying at the hotel.
We checked out of the hotel that day because we felt unsafe and moved hotels in the middle of our trip.
If this is their policy, we understand and that’s okay, but the way it was communicated was inappropriate.
**At the time of this review, the hotel has still not returned communication with us in order to rectify the situation. And it has...
Read moreOne of the best hotels that I’ve ever had the pleasure of staying at. Comparable to the esteemed Pangkor Laut Island in Malaysia. As someone who is quite particular, I could not find a single fault with Kayakapi. The service was personal and warm that you could not help but feeling like their most VIP guest. There was not a single staff member who was anything less than absolutely friendly and welcoming. Special mention to Nihal who made booking my tours and transfers seamless from across the world. The breakfast had a surprisingly large and wide variety of delicious foods, considering how small the hotel is. The ala carte and room service for other meals was also delicious and very well priced for a luxury hotel. The rooms and hotel facilities were all beautiful and provided an authentic cave experience. I must mention my rooms bathroom which was huge and luxurious- the bath was massive and the complimentary amenities were of a high quality. I was also delighted by all the other complimentary gifts offered, something most hotels do not bother with. We were given a gorgoeus fruit basket, complimentary Godiva chocolates, dried fruits and nuts, and the most delicious non-alcoholic grape juice. What took my stay over and above was the little details that are meticulously though and planned- there was an iPhone charging station next to the bed (so convenient), a mirror at the desk (great for doing makeup but no other hotel does this!), a fireplace and underfloor heating for the windy mountainous weather, and the complimentary coffee machine at the reception area which was great for a refreshment in between check-in and touring. If you’re looking for a luxurious hotel in Cappadocia, there is no other option but Kayakapi. My stay was perfection from...

From the moment we arrived, we were enchanted by the stunning location of Kayakapı Premium Caves, perfectly nestled in the heart of Cappadocia. The warm welcome we received set the tone for our stay, and I must extend my heartfelt thanks to Mr. Abdurrahim and Mr. Mehmet for their exceptional hospitality.
The staff at the hotel were not only professional but also genuinely friendly, making us feel truly special throughout our stay. Every detail of the hotel and the rooms reflected the region's rich cultural heritage, blending tradition with modern comfort. The cleanliness and amenities were impeccable, leaving nothing to be desired.
We chose this hotel to celebrate our honeymoon, and it exceeded all our expectations. Visiting in winter added a magical touch to our experience, and we are already looking forward to our next stay.
A special mention goes to the team at Maide Restaurant, who turned every meal into a delightful experience. Our deepest thanks to Restaurant Manager Mr. İlyas, Supervisors Mr. Uğur and Mr. Ömür, and the incredible team—Yaren, Damla, Rabia, Semih, Burak, Cemre, Osman, and Furkan. Together with the kitchen staff, you have created a phenomenal team.
We wholeheartedly recommend dining at Maide to all guests—it’s an experience not to be missed. During our four-night stay, we couldn’t bring ourselves to dine anywhere else! The variety and quality of the breakfast, as well as the impeccable service, were simply outstanding.
