We were staying close to Ürgüp town and decided to eat here. It's a short & pleasant walk in the month of January, slight up hill, but not really a problem.
The seating area is on the higher floor of the building that houses the restaurant.
When we visited in the evening, only one table was occupied by a rather large group of about 10+.
We were promptly seated in a corner with ambient dim lighting, almost akin to a romantic candle lit dinner, although with us was our 6 year old naughty boy.
There is an open area right adjacent to the eating area where smoking is allowed at the same time there is a heater to keep us warm in the winter months. It's very nice to stand there out in the open feeling the cold air at the same time feeling warm due to the heater.
Since this was a new place for us, we went as per the recommendation of the waiter who was quite friendly. We ordered a few things and they were all decent.
This is a review that goes back to January 2023 and hence I cannot remember what we ate.
Prices felt a little higher than other places by about 20%.

Read moreAttracted by the beautiful panoramic terrace overlooking Urgup (which turned out to be just that), we asked for an outdoor table for four. They kindly moved a table from inside and were very helpful. The pleasant experience, however, ended there: after ordering, we had to ask for drinks, which arrived after 20 minutes (four small bottles of soda and a glass of wine- not elaborate cocktails). We ordered two cold appetizers (salad and cheese plate) and a soup, and we waited 50 minutes for them. No bread while waiting. The soup was dirty water (leftover soup diluted with water?), the cheese plate came with three breadsticks (a real number, no bread or other accompaniment). The two children's dishes arrived an hour after ordering, as did one of the two main courses ordered; the other never arrived. The chicken with herb sauce was very tough. The bill was extremely high, the highest of our entire stay in Turkey (6,000 TL), and the experience was the worst of all. In response to our dissatisfaction, we were told with arrogance they were full, but the terrace was empty and the staff didn't appear to be busy or rushing. Did we arrive on an unlucky night? I give the benefit of the doubt but my advice is definitely to pass by.
Read moreI like what I ordered, but I thought the portion of the cold mushroom salad was small. The hummus seemed pretty standard.
I was both pleased and disappointed that they didn’t bring me bread😂
After I had given my food order, a woman came up and asked about my beverage order. I shook my head. She said still water? Is that in a bottle I asked? Because I will level with you, I don’t like paying for water. It’s my treat, she said. She was well-intentioned, but forgot to follow through
I think the main reason to go there is for the view
They add 10% for tip so I paid 660, about $16 US. I feel like my value was more in...
