Long overdue review. I was here in 2016, however, life keeps us busy and I was thinking about my trip and recalled I never left a review.
This hotel, along with the staff are professional, friendly, attentive, competent and go above and beyond to meet your needs and wants. The hotel is situated up within the hills and the view in the morning is beautiful. Heck, when I was there I could hear the roosters in the morning, I found it refreshing compared to car horns, living here in a major city in Ontario Canada.
The room that was on the main floor, well first level. It was clean and a blast from the past. Even though it's a cave hotel, you do get wifi, something the ancients would have loved, but you can't have it all. The room was clean, smelled nice, had good lighting and was secure. My favourite area was the living room with the comfy cushions and seating area. The hot tub was a nice addition as well.
The food that is offered here is crazy fresh. When I mean fresh, I mean it. I had a literal piece of a beehive stuffed with honey for breakfast with a delicious assortment of fruits, olives, cheeses, an omelette and a nice roti/pronta like dish. They knocked it out of the park.
The staff is always willing to help, and are always energetic. My mom had a upset stomach the day after our hot air ballon ride, she called the head desk, and a gentleman, I can't remember his name, he had a shaved head, wore circular glasses, made her a lemon/salt/pepper drink which fixed her up! Also the dog in the lobby is adorable and friendly.
I would like to take this time to point out one staff member, his name is Yasin, I hope I spelled that correctly. We became good buddies and he drove me to the local (new) mosque and dropped my family and I off to the burger joint in town. Yasin my friend, I hope you are well and that you and your family are safe.
Thank you to the entire staff at the MDC Cave Hotel for their hospitality, it was above and beyond and if I am ever back, this is where I will...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of staying at MDC Hotel, and it was an exceptional experience. The hotel's location is stunning, with breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and sea. The peaceful and serene atmosphere made me feel instantly relaxed and rejuvenated.
The staff at MDC Hotel are friendly, professional, and went above and beyond to ensure that my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. They were always available to answer any questions and provided excellent recommendations for local activities and restaurants.
The rooms at MDC Hotel are spacious, modern, and beautifully decorated. The attention to detail in the design and furnishings is impressive, and the rooms are equipped with all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. The balconies with stunning views were a highlight for me.
One of the standout features of MDC Hotel is the food. The breakfast buffet was extensive, with a wide range of options from Turkish and international cuisine. The hotel's restaurant also serves delicious meals throughout the day, and I highly recommend trying the seafood dishes.
The hotel's spa is also worth mentioning, with a range of treatments and facilities available to help guests relax and unwind. The outdoor pool and terrace area are beautiful and offer stunning views of the surrounding landscape.
Overall, I highly recommend MDC Hotel to anyone looking for a luxurious and peaceful stay in a beautiful location. The hotel's exceptional staff, comfortable rooms, delicious food, and relaxing facilities make it an exceptional choice for travelers seeking a memorable and...
Read moreMy wife and I stayed at this phenomenal cave hotel for 2 nights and it definitely has the WOW factor. Cappadocia has many cave hotels to choose from but the MDC Cave hotel is unparalleled for customer service. They upgraded us (not sure why but we did not complain) to a penthouse suite which has a large bedroom, a huge sitting area, a beautiful bathroom with a Jacuzzi tub and a large private patio. The view from the suite and everywhere on the hotel property is Unbelievable. Stunning actually. It took my breath away. The AC in the room works very well. The pool and hot tub are fantastic with a separate changing area with bathrooms, showers etc. They provide luxurious pool towels as well. We typically do not eat at hotels that we stay in while vacationing. We went into town (Urgup) for lunch the first day and it was only a 15 minute walk. There are many restaurants to choose from and we were not disappointed. However, we decided to be lazy the first night and ate at the hotel restaurant. The food (chicken alfredo and chicken schnitzel) we had was superb and the prices were very reasonable. In fact we ate there the next night (try the prawn casserole) as well because the restaurant staff (and all of the employees at the hotel) were so pleasant and helpful.|All in all this is a very unique, beautiful and stupendous boutique hotel with fabulous employees who all really care about providing exceptional customer service to their guests. I hope that we have the opportunity to stay there again. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to...
